Purus Condense + Amino D Log

In this log i will be detailing the following regarding these products:

- Strength (Condense)
- Energy (Condense)
- Mood (Condense)
- Focus (Condense)
- Recovery (AminoD)

And how these play to my workout and what i will note regarding anything i experience along the run.

Lets talk about the products:

Condense

Purus Labs' NEW Condense: Oxygenating Hemodynamic Catalyst!

Condense™ is a novel approach to preworkout performance-enhancement designed to expand performance capacity, utilizing patent-pending nutrient technology and peer-reviewed, human- validated, orally efficacious dosages, rather than merely and temporarily increase acute performance as with most short-sighted, stimulant-laden products currently on the market. Purus Labs® has revolutionized the preworkout category, once again, by actually achieving what other companies only claim: that is, eliciting extreme vasodilation through truly enhancing endogenous nitric oxide production. This, in turn, causes a cascade of welcomed anabolic and physiologically enhancing benefits to athletes of all cloth through enhancing blood-flow, heightening substrate utilization (i.e. better nutrient absorption), preserving ATP stores, propelling oxygen delivery to myocapillaries, and reducing overall exercise oxygen cost allowing you to handle greater workloads (e.g. more weight) and exercise longer before exhaustion (e.g. more reps) .

Nitratene™

Inorganic nitrate found in beets, spinach, etc…proliferates nitric oxide through a novel biological pathway, nitrate→nitrite→nitric oxide, converted through entero-salivary circulation as opposed to the more traditionally known arginine→NO synthase→nitric oxide pathway. Although nitrate, as related to exercise performance, is still in its infancy, the results on performance parameters are nothing short of salivary (pun intended)!
Nitrate has been shown to be a powerful aerobic and anaerobic ergogenic aid by reducing the oxygen cost of exercise, translating into lower perceived exertion and/or a greater maximal workload capacity. Astonishingly, the increased work comes without an accompanying increase in blood-lactate, meaning your muscles actually become more energetically efficient. This increase in mitochondrial efficiency (P/O ratio) is due to the reduced cost of ATP (muscular currency) to produce muscular force.

Beta alanine

This non-proteinogenic amino acid is a constituent of muscle-carnosine (beta-alanine-l-histidine), however, myocarnosine content has been shown to be significantly increased through beta alanine supplementation alone. Carnosine, which supplemental beta alanine enhances the muscular concentration of, helps stabilize muscular pH levels by buffering the hydrogen ions produced through intense exercise. Intuitively, this stacks nicely with nitrates as they synergistically work through different modalities to achieve the same endurance effect.

Betaine anhydrous

Betaine, or trimethylglycine, is an interesting compound found in beetroot juice as it serves as an osmolyte (protecting cells against dehydration), an antioxidant, and a methyl group donor serving to lower homocysteine levels. Human performance studies involving betaine found it increases power and force performance measures amongst trained individuals and was elucidated through these exercise protocols: bench press throw, bench press force, squat force, and vertical jump power. Another larger study concluded betaine aided in high intensity anaerobic training, allowing individuals to achieve more squat repetitions at 75% of their 1-RM with more repetitions achieved at ≥90% peak power.

1,3,7-trimethylxanthine

Obviously, caffeine is a widely used and highly efficient aerobic and anaerobic performance stimulant. Its effects are as highly acute and pronounced as they are vast. Caffeine improves cognition and alertness, antagonizes adenosine receptors, inhibits phosphodiesterase (PDE), increases epinephrine/norepinephrine/dopamine release, and enhances intracellular sodium/potassium pump activity.

Electrolytes

Ionized salts are abundantly found within our bodies and serve the chief primary function of maintaining specific concentration and charge balances across cell membranes. We include the electrolytes sodium, potassium, and chloride within Condense™ to aid in maintaining optimal hydration status and blood volume during strenuous physical activity thereby blunting a rise in cortisol and quickening recovery.

AminoD

NEW AminoD by Purus Labs:

Essential Amino Acid Repletion Drink

Compare AminoD with Protein:

More Effective Than Protein
Less Expensive Than Protein
Less Calories Than Protein
The importance of amino acids, with regards to muscle protein synthesis, has long been accepted and validated; however, which exact amino acids at what specific ratios are the more important questions. We conducted a meta analysis on over 10 years of ergogenic amino acid research to bring you the most comprehensively myotropic amino acid composition available, AminOD®, the industry's first muscle protein synthesis-stimulating essential amino acid matrix. It even outperforms whole protein!

Whether using AminOD® as a muscle protein synthesis enhancing, recovery accelerating workout adjunct or simply as an amino-acid-rich flavor burst to your daily water intake, AminOD® is the anytime myotropic. Used PRE, INTRA, POST, or a combination thereof, ensures maximal protein synthesis and muscle recovery by bathing your muscles in AminOD®. It is more myotropic than whole protein AND substantially cheaper. Welcome to the next generation, enthusiastically provided to you by Purus Labs.

Dosing

I will start with:
1 Scoop Condense Pre-Workout
1 Scoop AminoD pre/Intra-workout (i train fasted the majority of the time) so i will use 1 scoop pre and 1 scoop during my workout)
On off days i will use 1 scoop between my meals (Spaced 4-6 hours apart) to take advantage of the MPS study/PDF reccomended by layne norton and allowing protein levels to reach refractory stages before being spiked again.

About me

Height: 5'7
Weight :180
Goal : Grow into a Middle

I have been gaining for 22 weeks now and have added good size, i may have to mini-cut coming up here soon as the mirror is showing a bit more fat gains than LBM Gains. i work with Jason Theobald for my nutrition and Team Inov8 Elite Performance who does my training.

In it to win it, brotha!

I've been keeping an eye on Purus ever since MM, but never got around to picking up anything else. Condense looks intriguing though with the nitratene. I was skeptical at first with nitrates, but now I'm convinced.

Amino D strawberry limeaid

Absolutely ridiculous in taste you don't get a real tart watermelon that's is very smooth and refreshing and the lime aid after taste takes over on the way down for the after taste which is incredible. This tub will not last long as purus destroyed this flavor in a good way

Mix - 1 scoop as on the label but I did 16oz of water and this tastes still very strong and not diluted at all

Condense Apple Crisp

Taste - very good it's not a sour apple or sweet apple it's more again of a very refreshing flavor that is unique usually companies hit you too hard (sweet) or a little on the light side (sour) but this falls between with a long last overall flavor from first sip to last aftertaste on the way down

Mix - 1 scoop in 10oz water and again no problem this mixed wry quick as the powder was very fine

Hats off to purus and crushing the flavoring on both of these products

Another thin I liked was that there wasn't any coloring. Basically clear like water. Sometimes companies add coloring, well mine didn't turn any colors, which seems to be wasteful. Who cares if a fruit punch turns red.... It's the flavor that makes the difference

Its not all about flavor as many consumers think
its about ideal formulas
its about ingredients
and what they do to aid your training or the purpose of the product

which is far overlooked.

Formulation is the main thing I agree but if it tastes bad it makes it harder to consume, IMO.

with how people can formulate/flavor some of the nastiest raws (WPH, BCAA's) etc, you should not have to worry about that, just worrying about it meeting label claims with how companies are spiking protein powders with low grade fillers now n days.

Condense nailed me as i have taken some time off stims, 200mg is a sweet spot for me so i dont see myself adding a lot more to the rest of the log, because i know it may be too much for my liking and really take away from my overall performance in the gym, so we are going to hold with this dosing for now on and through the log and rock it out

Amino D will run out fast, but thats all good,

Brutal session this morning, already adding weight and seeing good focus, streaming energy on the condense. The flavoring of both products are fantastic. Started to get a great pump moving into chest work and after finishing up very heavy rack deadlifts. My posterior chain is a lagging part, so i am focusing on hammering that as much as possible. Overall pleased with day 2

Pump was awesome on this, the partials had my delts about to explode, and the supersets made the pump just that much worse (in a good way) energy was clean and smooth for a quick 1 hour workout . In out and done and energy never dropped nor did i feel any jitters at all. So far so good. Recovery is great (probably due to as much as i am eating) and also making some good gains in the mirror as welll
Ill post after pictures when its all said and done!

Thank god for early morning stims, already flying through the amiond, its absolutely delicious and keeps the BCAA's in me for pre/intra workout which are necessary for fasted training
Still rolling 1 aminoD and 1 Condense pre and 1 amino intra,
I really dont see the need to go any higher on either product, 200mg caffeine is a perfect sweets spot, its giving me streaming energy, and keeping me alert right from the get go, i am really loving it and seeing some good focus/enhancing abilities during my sessions and improved recovery, so i am very happy with how things are rolling right now.

On top of that energy is streaming, solid, and great from condense. Still no crashing, no jitters, just straight smooth energy and productive workouts showing gains! Cant beat it.

Great way to finish up this mesocycle with a massive chest/back workout, and also some great energy, focus, and strength. Condense is still strong and rolling hard. NO signs of tolerance or build up still streaming energy, great focus, and getting little hints of pumps the more i use it (which is rare for me) I am never really pumped by nature, but overall starting to see this shine.
