Could use some suggestions on dosing & timing....

PreWorkout --- I was going to start with:

1g ArA
1g ALCAR
3g GMS

Glycophase --- Maybe just 1 cap with my Pre-Workout meal?

ALCAR - Should I try 1.5g all Pre-Workout or 1g pre & 1 g at another time?

I've been running the alcar 1 cap 3x a day per the label. Might as well do that so you can see what its about.

I thought about that but I've seen so many threads on ArA and people dosing 1-2g ALCAR pre-workout.

I'd bump ALCAR up to 2g.

Glycophase with the highest carb meal.

For Glycophase I generally do one cap pre high carb meal and one cap pre bed

At my age... My goals are pretty much all about looking good. :) Not really concerned with strength. I usually train 1-2 body parts/day. Sticking with 8-10 slow, controlled, strict form reps.

Strength training can be great for preservation of muscle mass and general health as you age :)

But 8-10 is on the lower side of the continuum, so you're not lacking there. Run any training programs in the past you liked?

You're getting 25 1g servings of the ArA, assuming you bought SNS ALCAR you might as well bump the ALCAR up to 2g, because you'll get 25 2g servings out of a bottle of that.

I've been using glycophase pretty irregularly personally, before high carb and cheat meals, and sometimes before bed.

i concur, i was doing a strength program for 6+ months and just recently switched over to the other end of the spectrum. now im doing all the same movements (some supersetted) with 12-30 reps, its pretty brutal. but if you want some change look into PHAT, fst-7 those were 2 great programs, i took some principles from each and applied it to my training regimine.

I'm familiar with those 2 and they're both good IMO.

Cannot beat proper periodization of hypertrophy training -> strength -> repeat.

I was running PHAT for a while and enjoyed it. Really nice strength gains.

Awesome start to this log and love the SNS stash you have. De_eB and NomZ make good suggestions with bumping the ALCAR up to 4 pills (2g) pre-workout. If not pre-workout, I would dose the other gram later in the day.

indeed if you train in both areas you will be an animal. to much of one thing is no good! in whatever program you decide to use, everytime youre in the gym up the weight or get more reps with the same weight you used before for a certain lift. keep progressing is all

I forgot to ask, what is your diet looking like through the duration of this log? In a caloric surplus or deficit (or recomp)?

Probably going to stay 300-500 over maintenance for the duration.

Had my 1st Workout last night:

Until I work out the details of my new training schedule I decided to just do Chest,Shoulders, & Triceps last night.

NOTES:
1 Cap Glycophase 15 min before my Pre-Workout meal.

1g X-Gels
1.5g ALCAR (will more than likely be going to 2g next week)
3g GMS (will be going to 6g next week)
1 scoop Rage

VERY Nice Workout... Pump was great... nothing too crazy but I felt really nice in the Gym! Cant wait to hit Back & Traps on Friday!

That's got to be very hectic.. great time management on your behalf, though.

It should get better after the holidays. I work at the Vitamin Shoppe and we lost 2 employees this past month so I've been getting a few extra shifts. And my construction job has been busier than normal. My Dad & I install glass block windows for some of the home-builders here in DFW. I also still train a few clients on the side from my Personal Training days, but they are both on vacation for the next 2 weeks.

Had a nice Back/ Traps/ Rear Delt/ Calfs workout.

NOTES: Same pre-workout format as before. No DOMS from the first workout.

I've noticed people reporting increased DOMS after the first couple weeks more so.

I keep hearing great things about GlycoPhase, looks like a damn solid stack. The DOMS do seem to take a couple workouts in, but the pumps shine from the first as you noticed. Terrific workout to start the log. Happy Holidays guys!

Did Chest / Tris / Abs today. Almost had to stop Triceps early --- pump after only 2 sets were intense! :) Going with Back & Traps tomorrow!!!



NOTES: Went to 2g ALCAR & 5g GMS


No DOMS or joint issues thus far.

Feeling great in the Gym!!!

NOTES: Chest was sore from the previous workout but nothing unbearable.

NOTES: Feeling good in the gym. Chest was sore but didn't linger more than a day or two. Will be hitting Chest again tomorrow. Legs feel good so far!!!

How much pure ArA is yielded in x factor? Is it truly 825mgs of ArA per cap? So then I would only need 2 caps PWO?
