ANS Ritual Final Review & Thoughts

Energy: 9/10- A very smooth Energy that hits hard and last the entire workout. I had no experience with jitters, crashing, or affecting my appetite.

Endurance9/10- I don't really notice this much with typical PWO, but after examining my workouts after they were done, there were definitely moments when I was able to get more reps then I would have presumed.

Mixibility 9/10- I have mixed with just a spoon, and it mixed right up, there were some particles left at the bottom, but no big chunks. Shaking is perfect.

Taste 8/10- It smells absolutely amazing. The taste is also smooth with nothing overpowering.

Pump 9/10- I am impressed, I rarely can tell the difference between most preworkouts and any pump feeling, but Ritual did seem to provide some added pump.

Initial Thoughts

With a couple of workouts under my belt with ritual, I can give a little feedback regarding my thoughts.

Mixibility 9/10- Both times I have mixed with just a spoon, and it mixed right up, there were some particles left at the bottom, but no big chunks.

Taste 8/10- This is something I will have to play around with, I seem to be watering it down too much to get the full flavor, but it is good. It smells absolutely amazing.

Energy 9/10- Its an eye opener. It is a good fluent rush of energy with no noticeable crash.

Pump9/10- I am impressed, I rarely can tell the difference between most preworkouts and any pump feeling, but Ritual did seem to provide some added pump.

Good first impressions for sure. I think with continued use you'll start to see some of those ergogenic benefits of increased strength, power and stamina too :)

There has definitely been a noticeable difference with ritual compared to other preworkouts, I didn't put two and two together during my leg workout, but looking back, I was able to much higher volume with better ease.

Great results so far. I love the energy and focus, especially as I workout early mornings fasted, but the endurance attribute is what I love most about Ritual.

Leg Day

trained fasted, with 1.5 scoops of Ritual. It was very easy to feel Ritual while on an empty stomach. Its a very smooth boost.

Warmup- 5 sets each Leg extensions and Curls. Starting light and worked heavier kept the sets high volume 15-20

Squats- warmed up with 135 then 225. Today I worked up to my 80% max doing triples with pauses

275x3, 315x3, 335x3, 365x3, 365x3

Cambered Good Mornings
135x12, 135x12, 185x8, 185x8

Chain walking lunges (60 lbs)

4 sets, 12-15 reps each leg

This was a great workout, and I have to thank Ritual for putting me in the zone.

Strong squats!

I don't mind doing cardio fasted but I don't react well doing weights fasted. I prefer a protein shake and some oatmeal about an hour and a half before training, than 2 scoops of Ritual Pre-workout.

I bet 1.5 scoops of Ritual fasted sure amp up the stim effects :) Great updates and vids!

Hey guys, although I have been on vacation the past week and a half, it always seems that the holidays are the busiest and I am actually looking forward to go back to work tomorrow to get back into a normal routine. I usually lift in the evenings, but to get it out of the way I've been doing all my training in the mornings and although it takes a little bit to get going, I've had some great workouts. I just usually take a few extra minutes to warmup. Ritual is pretty awesome in the morning, especially fasted. I don't seem to get as quite of a nice pump in the mornings compared to later in the day, but strength and intensity have been on point. Here's my last three workouts.

Monday Chest

Incline Bench- 225x12, 245x8, 245x8, 245x8

DB Bench- 100x12, 100x12, 100x12

Incline Cable flyes- 12,12,12,12
Standing low cable flyes 12,12,12,12
Pushups feet on bench- failure, failure

Tuesday Back

Lat pulldowns- 20, 20, 15, 15
chin ups- 12,12,12

BB Bent Row (suprinated)- 135x15, 185x12, 205x10, 205x10 1 set normal grip 225x10

BB Deadlift- 315x10, 365x6, 405x3, 455x2, 455x2

Meadows Row- 12,12,12

Wednesday Shoulders

Hammer Strength Press- 90x20, 180x15, 230x12, 230x12, 270x6, 270x6

DB side laterals- 35x12, 35x12, 35x12, 35x12

Rear Cable- 12,12,12,12

Standing BB behind head- 115x12, 115x12, 135x10, 135x10
superset/
BB front raise- 45x15, 45x15, 45x15

Hope everyone had a great holiday season and good luck with any 2014 goals.

Yeah, I've been keeping it at 1.5 scoops, Before my tub runs out I'll experiment with 2, but 1.5 has been great for me. I don't want to get to ambitious, go up to 2 scoops and then be out of Ritual earlier lol.

Hey everyone, my tub of ritual looks to be coming close to the end, but I am going to make the best of what is left. The past three workouts I bumped it up to two scoops. I didn't really see any difference then what I was seeing at 1.5. For the remainder of the tub I'm just going to keep it at 1.5 scoops to make it last a couple of more days.

Saturday Leg Day

Warm up- Pr-exhaust on Leg extensions and curls. started very light, worked heavier, kept reps at 15

Squat- 225x12, 275x12, 315x12, 365x2, 385x2, 405x2, [dropset( 405x2, 315x8, 225x12)

Smith RDL- 135x15, 225x15, 275x12, [dropset( 275x12, 225x12, 135x15)

Great power in those lifts! Whats your PR on bench and incline DB press? I've always liked incline db press the most for hitting chest.

I'm so determined to hit that 315 bench in a couple months.

haha, That's a loaded question for me. A year and a half ago I hit my PR on bench, 405. About a month after that I suffered a rotator injury and did not bench whatsoever for close to 6 months. Over the same time period I went though a major lifestyle change. I was collegiate football lineman, and after my career I decided it was time to live healthier and lean up. I lost about 60 lbs, which did not greatly effect my strength, but did have an impact. When I resumed benching, I was limited in how I trained and still stayed away from flat.

About a month ago, I decided to get back into strength training and flat bench. If my life depended on it, I'm willing to bet the most I could put up right now is ~350.

I don't really know how much I could incline DB press, I usually work incline DB with high volume and slower reps, rarely going over the 100's.

Good luck on gettin the 315, that is definitely a milestone that is rewarding. Are you using any training system to work towards it?

At the moment I'm focusing on rehabbing my shoulder, had a bit of a set back, but I should be back at it soon. Not sure what program yet, I'll be training with a local powerlifter who knows his stuff when it comes to routines.

that sucks! take that injury serious. I made some crucial mistakes that I wish I could take back. I opted out of surgery and just did rehab. My shoulder will never be the same.

I hear ya! This is the second time I've hurt it bad about 5 years ago and it always seemed to bug me a bit, but it was the rotator cuff before, this time I have a feeling it's a small shoulder separation since it's visually different now compared to my right shoulder, but it's finally starting to improve.

Nothing like injuries getting in the way lol

Once again thanks to everyone over at ANS, this was my first experience with this company and I am very impressed. Thanks to all that followed as well.

Great log and final review, BB. Seems like Ritual lived up to the hype for you. I was confident that it would! :)
