  1. M1A - Day 5

    Weight - 178.4 - up a couple lbs.. We'll see. I use the same digital scale in the mornings when I wake up after using the bathroom, but I just don't know yet.. Lol, I'm a skeptic. I'll continue to weigh in every few days to see where I'm at.

    This morning's workout was freaking crazy! I don't know if it's finally kicked in & I'm all Alpha'd out, or if just having the gym to myself this morning motivated me that much.. I do know something's going on, due to the pr I hit this morning. Felt great! It's funny, my shoulders will grow before they'll get stronger! I finished my routine this morning w/ time to spare, so I hit db shrugs again. (2nd time this week). Traps are filling out nicely as well. I worked my way up to the 85's for a strict set of 8. That's one thing I just never did, was sacrifice form for the weight.

    So, now, 5 days into it, here's a few things I've noticed. So far, the libido is still slightly elevated. Will it eventually plummet? Time will tell.. Today's the first day I noticed the strength increase. That alone is giving me more of that Alpha feeling. The pump I had this morning was very full all the way around. Even more forearms were tight. Energy throughout the day is unchanged. Nothing extra, and no lethargy. I noticed last night that I felt tighter and looked in the mirror & noticed a little bit more vascularity in the forearms. Appetite is still about the same. I'm trying to eat as much as possible and I'm easily pushing almost 2 gallons of water a day.

    Tomorrow is leg day. I'll be pushing more volume than weight. I'll see if I need to increase the weight to push myself a little harder. I normally try to get 4-5 sets of 25 on the squats, so that alone keeps the weight a little lower. I do know that I'm already looking forward to getting back in there!!

    So far, so good on this ride..

  6. I work a rotating shift, so I don't have normal days off from the gym. For me, I normally take the day after legs off.

  8. M1A - Day 7

    Weight - 177 (here goes all the fluctuation.. Yesterday, I weighed in @ 180..)

    Has it already been 7 days?? Time flies when you're having fun, eh? Seriously considering the bump up to 3x a day dosing..

    Yesterday was leg day. Not wanting to sell myself short on this ph, I left it all on the court... I'm hurtin' like a mother right now! All worth it though. No real strength increase to speak of, but I think the rep endurance seemed a little better. I felt just a tad bit stronger, but I'll give that the mental tag. I tend to push myself a little harder when logging a product, so these next few weeks are going to be brutal. I managed to get 4x25 on the squats. By the 3 rd set, my legs were shaking when I was in the up position. I finished the morning off w/ high rep leg extensions. My quads were on fire! The pain today is awesome..

    So, one week into it, heres what's happening: strength increase is slight. It's there, but nothing too major yet. Weight seems to be increasing slowly. My calories are around the same as when I started. Maybe a little higher, but nothing too major. Before I started this run, my gut/love handles were getting out of control, so I don't want to increase the calories too much & gain too much more around the gut. Libido seems to still be good to go. Not any more elevated, but still not suppressed. That fuller feeling wasn't as obvious today. It may have been my carbs were too low. Today was an off day, so I didn't eat quite like I did the past few days.

    Tomorrow morning, provided I get enough rest here at work tonight, I'll be hitting chest. I've got a feeling I may be hitting a pr tomorrow. Not sure, but I know I'm going to give it hell trying to achieve that!!

    I don't think I mentioned it here in the log, but I'm bulking. So yeah, I'll be upping the calories a little more.

    As for recording my food intake, I've never done that. I know it helps keep us more disciplined & in track, I've just never taken the time to do it.

    Nice!! I like to low dose the first week of something I've never used to assess side.. From what I've seen 60 is the sweet spot that's why Ironflex went with the 90 count bottle

  16. Lmao! Getting my swole on this morning & I check the list of drinks that the patrons might want in our dispenser. I listed the Mass Recovery and Blue Thunder. We don't have any post workout drinks. Check out the bottom drink!! I was cracking up when I saw it.

    weight - N/A.. I'll get an accurate weigh in tomorrow morning when I wake up fasted.

    Sorry about the lack of updates. Last night, we had thunderstorms, so that kept us busy @ the plant.

    Yesterday morning was chest day. No pr's to speak of.. The gym was curiously crowded yesterday morning, & it kind of forced me to change up my chest routine. No biggie, I was still able to exhaust myself and get one helluva pump. I did something yesterday that I probably haven't done in years! All barbell lifts. My shoulders usually can't handle the pain of the fixed motion, but I pushed through it yesterday due to the crowd. I started w/ flat bench @ worked up to 225 for 2 last sets of 5. Not working w/ the bb has probably dropped my strength. I can usually work my way up to the 90's w/ the db's but I didn't feel like trekking across the gym carrying db's around. I worked my way up to the incline bb presses & by the time I got there, my pecs were already wearing down. I got myself 4 strict sets, working up to 185. If anything, I felt my strength was down. I was almost confused, but like I said, it's all different muscles & ranges of motion. I need to work these in more often. From the incline, I went over to the hammer strength flat and inclines for 2 sets of each to burn the pecs out. I finished yesterday morning off w/ cable flies. Today, my pecs are still swole!!

    This morning, despite not getting a whole lot of rest at work last night, I drugged myself w/ a heavy dose of preworkout pills and went in ready to attack back. I actually hit pr's on both the lat pull downs, (210) and the seated rows, (200)!! M1A kicking in??? I switched to a wider grip on the seated rows and dropped the weight to get 3 more sets of slow, strict rows for a burnout. From there, I went to the smith machine for 3 sets of bent over rows. My left shoulder kind of limits my lift here, but I push through. (or in this case, pull through.. lol). Not wanting to leave the gym just yet, I decided to stay at the smith and hit traps. I got in 5 sets of shrugs, (first 2 were medium weight warmups).

    I have to go in tomorrow morning to work some overtime, so I'm going to hit the gym on the way in & hit shoulders. Like I said, when I wake up tomorrow morning, I'll get a weigh in, and if time permits, following my workout, I'll get some progress pics posted up.
