First and foremost, I'd like to thank Montego1 (or as I like to call him, Monty) for allowing me the opportunity to log FinaFlex's BCAA+SAA and ALC+CLA. This is my first run with FinaFlex products so I am super excited. I've taken BCAA's in the past, but am new to SAA and I've never used CLA before. I'm looking forward to what these two products, along with proper nutrition and exercise, have to offer! What I'm looking for in a BCAA is help with muscle recovery after my workouts and endurance before my workouts. I'm totally not a morning person so I definitely need something to wake me up for cardio. CLA, as I understand it, can help with weight loss if taken over a prolonged period of time. I have a full bottle containing 240 capsules. I'd say that will last me for a little over 2 months!

I will be working out 5-6x week. Strength training 4x week and cardio at least 3x week... I hope! Just going to put it out there, I am not a fan of LISS. I plan to incorporate more sprinting/jump rope training. I also plan to work more on lagging body parts such as my shoulders and legs.

First Impressions:

I took my first scoop of BCAA+SAA Apple Fusion on Sunday prior to jump rope cardio. I also took 3 caps of ALC+CLA with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Upon opening the BCAA container I got a huge whiff of apples. It's a very fine dust that smelled like granny smith apples. 1 scoop mixed into my shaker cup filled with 10 oz water. After shaking it for a minute *yes, I timed it. I needed the arm workout* I unscrewed the top. No trouble dissolving at all. The taste for me was just OKAY. The apple smell was quite overwhelming but the taste was almost muddled when mixed with water, and it had almost like a coconut-y aftertaste. Next time I will use less water and see if that enhances the flavor a bit. I did notice a slight increase in endurance during my jump rope cardio. I was able to increase by a few reps on exercises. I've done this same workout twice before and it's very challenging. Short but intense tabata/interval style. I was able to finish strong and even finished up with a light jog right after which I would have normally skipped.

Thanks for reading so far and following along. Look forward to exchanging ideas and corresponding with you all :)

Very true very true on the scoop size. A level scoop is what I was referring to...not a "Monty" scoop :p

For some reason I was expecting it to taste like apple juice, but it wasn't like that. It's not bad tasting at all. I'm more of a fruit punch type of girl. Although, I was thinking this could be a nice addition to a glass of chilled apple martini. :)

Pics or it didn't happen.
Pics of?

Im in!

I do find that if i mix less water it is a more concentrated flavor and more water obviously less concentrated. Now that is obviously just my preference but i typicaly use like 6-8 ounces.

I love the thought process on cardio as well. As much as i hate HIIT while im doing it, id much rather spend 10-15 minutes instead if 30-45, although i do mix in LISS as well.

I'm not a big Jolly Rancher fan. Maybe that explains it.

Thanks for following along GT! No cardio bunny here. LISS just bores me.

Subbed. I have been very interested in this product and am waiting for NutraPlanet to get the apple flavor in.

I love apple flavor Jolly Rancher! And it made me think of this Dane Cook skit

Awesome to have you logging this. Yeah if you don't like Jolly Rancher you may not like this and yeah, I have had a scoop of this added to a 1.5 shots of vodka shaken with some ice and it makes for quite an apple martini type drink. Let me clarify this is not a FINAFLEX recommendation but a personal experience.

Took the advice in here and mixed my scoop of BCAA with some vodka pre-workout..... all I can say is........

JUST KIDDING! :p I used 1 scoop in 20 oz water and slammed it down. Tasted better this way IMHO.

Wasn't feeling all that great yesterday so instead of hitting legs I hit the tennis court for ~1 hr. Felt much better today. Hit some new PR's on front squats. Failed at 130 but I'll get it next time! Unracked it fine, but failed coming out of the hole. Also noticing that I am horribly uncoordinated on my right leg during single legged DL's.

Some nice strength even attempting a 130 on front squat eludes to impressive pr's that led up to it.

Hey Kleen! Very glad to have the opportunity to log this. :)

Jump rope cardio ;)
How about some horizontal running? :p

I'm trying. Not very often that I hit PR's eating at a deficit, but when it does happen it is an awesome feeling!

ooo lunges after max squat day, nice!

Nice is one way of putting it, lol. I should add I played 1.5 hrs of tennis after lifting. I guess I had more endurance today! :)

My whole body is sore, specifically my glutes from Tuesday's workout and my back. Today I hit chest and some shoulders. Normally I would have hit back, but my back is still feeling beat up and bruised so I focused on a lagging body part. One thing I like about chest day is that it's a short workout. Total time: 40 minutes.

Once I finished I mixed 1 scoop of BCAA+SAA's with 20 oz of water and chugged it down before hitting the tennis court. Played ~40 minutes of tennis until it became too hot to run after the ball. I could have played for longer were it not for the heat. I was just getting warmed up! Also, got this nagging ear ache that won't go away and now a nice new sunburn to compliment my neck!

Just sitting down now to eat. Popped 1 ALC+CLA and will dose another one for my 2nd meal in a few hours.

Reading it back, yeah it does seem like a lot. But I kept rest periods to 30-45 seconds so it went by fast! Db snatches were a great finisher. Forgot how much I liked doing those. :)

You know it's stupid hot when you're sitting in an air conditioned room and the back of your knees are sweaty. Or is that just me? It's 3* shy of 100* so pretty darn hot.

Wow. 130*? You win Arizona. I need to move to a place where it's 75* year round. With gyms in every neighborhood instead of McD's on every corner. Who's with me?

Sounds fun. I'd need a tour guide. You know, to know where to avoid sucky people.
