First and foremost, I'd like to thank Montego1 (or as I like to call him, Monty) for allowing me the opportunity to log FinaFlex's BCAA+SAA and ALC+CLA. This is my first run with FinaFlex products so I am super excited. I've taken BCAA's in the past, but am new to SAA and I've never used CLA before. I'm looking forward to what these two products, along with proper nutrition and exercise, have to offer! What I'm looking for in a BCAA is help with muscle recovery after my workouts and endurance before my workouts. I'm totally not a morning person so I definitely need something to wake me up for cardio. CLA, as I understand it, can help with weight loss if taken over a prolonged period of time. I have a full bottle containing 240 capsules. I'd say that will last me for a little over 2 months!
I will be working out 5-6x week. Strength training 4x week and cardio at least 3x week... I hope! Just going to put it out there, I am not a fan of LISS. I plan to incorporate more sprinting/jump rope training. I also plan to work more on lagging body parts such as my shoulders and legs.
First Impressions:
I took my first scoop of BCAA+SAA Apple Fusion on Sunday prior to jump rope cardio. I also took 3 caps of ALC+CLA with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Upon opening the BCAA container I got a huge whiff of apples. It's a very fine dust that smelled like granny smith apples. 1 scoop mixed into my shaker cup filled with 10 oz water. After shaking it for a minute *yes, I timed it. I needed the arm workout* I unscrewed the top. No trouble dissolving at all. The taste for me was just OKAY. The apple smell was quite overwhelming but the taste was almost muddled when mixed with water, and it had almost like a coconut-y aftertaste. Next time I will use less water and see if that enhances the flavor a bit. I did notice a slight increase in endurance during my jump rope cardio. I was able to increase by a few reps on exercises. I've done this same workout twice before and it's very challenging. Short but intense tabata/interval style. I was able to finish strong and even finished up with a light jog right after which I would have normally skipped.
Thanks for reading so far and following along. Look forward to exchanging ideas and corresponding with you all
