There was a time when man was at the top of his game - savage in his ways and a truly feared. WE used to hunt in packs and take down now extinct animals, that weighed in at a mighty 1200 pounds and were able to run at speeds in excess of 30 MPH. Now ****ing look at us! Glued to our seats in cubicles typing away, a slave to another man's fortune, yes-men that just do what we're told, and this is the societal norm now-a-days. Seriously what the **** happened?!
I'll tell you what happened! We lost our right to the thrown and to me that's pathetic! Our ancient ancestors would be cooking our meager, pathetic asses for dinner and serving it to their families! We have become domesticated house cats - cooking up some hamburger helper with rice-a-roni as a side dish. Processed bull **** that we are buying and is being served to us like ****ing animals. Is that what the human species has to look forward to? Is that what we're going to pass onto our children? Pure ****ing laziness? We have to eat dinner like animals - pre-made and in a damn box?!
Social norms have "domesticated" us and I use the word domesticated as a polite way of putting it. In my opinion, we have been "p u s sified", turned into little house cats that do what we're told, when we're told and how we're told.
Now, I realize that being civilized is a must and that doing things our ancestors used to do would more than likely get you tossed in jail. After all, I don't think your neighbor would be too happy if you jumped the fence wearing a loin cloth, and speared his dog. Or if you walked up to a chick, knocked her out and stuck her in your car. Those types of scenarios are illegal and best left in the past but what I am saying is there is a time and place to grab your sack (remove it from your wives or girlfriends purse) and reclaim your primal spirit.
Tap into that great warriors spirit that got us where we are today. When you train is probably the closest thing you'll ever get to reconnecting with being a savage at heart. Going in picking up heavy weights, puffing out your chest and going to war. Conditioning until you puke. Then, finishing up because you can feel the intensity coursing through your veins. I know you know what I'm talking about, everyone has felt it. Those days where you get in the gym and feel like a pure animal. Or when you're out on your run, you thought that you had enough, and there is that voice in the back of your head calling you a little bitch for quitting so easy. You know what that voice is? Schizophrenia, it's a real problem and you should probably seek help, lmao!!! All kidding aside, its the BEAST in you, telling you it wants MORE! Your engages and you run harder than when you started!
This log is going to be my journey getting back to the basics. Going primal on that ass! NO room for non sense, NO missing a gym session, NO excuses!!! Think about it - our ancestors didn't have refrigerators to go in and pull out a couple pounds of chicken for dinner. There wasn't room for "oh, I'm too sore to hunt today kids you're on your own". There was just the primal desire to drive on, to succeed, kill or be killed, and ONLY THE STRONG SURVIVE!
