I feel like I can't pull on the bar hard enough when I do that, I'm always thinking "spread it, break it" and I don't crank on it the way I want to with a false grip. That's just me.

I do it because I get more direct force to the bar that way.

If I had some wrist wraps I would wrap my thumb, but without them false grip is gonna be stronger.

My partner and I just weigh the setup with a loaded bar after we finish all our sets, then remember for next time.

Thanks, wanted to know what 530 feels like on my back for next month's meet...

Not sure on both really, lol.

If I can hit 195 by the beginning of October, I may do a 15lb cut for 24hr weigh-ins.

I'd like to open 465/265/550 I am guessing, completely up in the air since I don't know where my deads are.

    Optimally want 530/300/615...

Pretty unsure this far out though.

Just 3lbs of sweat and spit? Talk about a walk in the park.

True. When I wrestled, I would sweat 4-6 each practice, and then lose 8 the night before. But, I was doing it every week and my performance was compromised. When I dropped 8 for my meet in August, I thought I was going to die. It's funny how what used to be easy for me is no longer easy. In college, I was told I was taking it easy for coming down from 205 to 184. We were expected to perform while we felt like ass.

    I meant no disrespect, bud.

Lol no disrespect seen, was just saying it will be a pain.

Most I've done is 11lbs without sweating, good thing it is 24hr weigh-ins.

I can't even brain this whole "losing weight without sweating" thing. Lol. I love 24hr weigh ins myself.

Sean has a copy of my plan if you want to see it.

    Swim
    75yd freestyle
    75 kick
    100 drills
    150 build freestyle
    150 drills
    100 freestyle

    Cube Wk8, RE DL
    1 scoop Focus XT
    sugar

    Beltless Deadlift
    115x10
    135x5
    225x3
    315x3
    365x2
    +sumo
    405x2
    455x5x2

    Squat
    135x10
    225x5
    +10ct pause
    225x5x1

    Ham Curl
    130x3x15

    Unilateral Leg Press
    1ppsx10, 10, 10, 10 RP

Brutal workout to crawl through immediately after swimming, which makes me happy with how the Deads went without a belt. Belt really helps me off the floor, but I was quick to lockout. Back behaved as well.

I'm sure this has already been covered, but what's your 1RM snatch?

175-185 on a good day is my best guess.

    I want 200, but even if I don't, it's a great conditioning tool.

It's gotta be building that upper back and hip drive like none other.

Before I honed my form (probably still laughable to a true Oly lifter) my power snatch was higher than my snatch. More than likely back to square one though because my school's strength coach only has us doing power cleans and snatches. Not gonna argue with a guy that can 1 arm power snatch 185 though...

Squat felt like crap, 475 was ugly so I shut it down. Knees are shooting in right out of the hole, dem weak glutes and abductors; I think it's the lack of sumos in my life, time to hammer them as this wasn't a problem 2 months ago when I squatted 505.

Had an odd experience while warming up for snatch on the platform, two asian guys start walking toward me and one of them in a sleeveless T steps on the platform and starts flexing in the mirror behind the platform. Completely puzzled and told him to gtfo the platform, he starts staring at me and then backs away while staring at me. I continue snatching as he stared at me and his lilttle buddy behind him was trying not to giggle. Not sure why he was just trying to flex on me, dafuk.

Same, tis why I train 90% off the floor and not from a hang or power.
