Hey guys! I’ve been waiting sometime to start this stack now, I kept delaying it due to my lower back being injuried and also my right knee has been causing me a lot of pain. Now what really sucks is I planned on competing in some grappling tournys and amateur mma fights for some time now. It’s almost been a year since I competed in a grappling tourney. The back injury has really got in the way. I feel my back is now starting to get stronger, sadly can’t attempt squats with my knee at the moment, but I feel it will be ok soon, just need to avoid some things with the knee.
I can box, lift upper body, run, swim, bike and hopefully in 2-3 weeks be able to full out grapple again. While I can’t grapple I’ve decided I wanna really focus on my boxing, it’s my strong point so I wanna start doing amateur boxing. I’ve kept myself in pretty good shape, not at my strongest right now, but endurance feels good, boxing feels even better. I started sparring again this week, I felt good for the first time back and I’m ready to kick it up a notch!
The 2 weight divisions for boxing I have to choose from is 165lbs and 178lbs, not really sure which I’ll pick, I feel my best around 170-175lbs, current wake up weight is 175, not as lean as last time I was at this weight, I believe it’s because I lost mass on my legs. I was 210lbs last year, for endurance and performance I feel my best in the 170’s. I’ll see where my weight ends up in the next few weeks and see if I can get a boxing match.
