WOW!! First as always thanks to MST for giving me the opptunity to try out these 2 products. The guys over at MST really hooked it up with a bottle of their CRE'02 caps and a bottle of their new NITRO 2 ceps. Not only did they supply me with 2 full bottles but also were kind enough to throw in some samples of the rest of their product line :D .. Really excited to try some of them out and will be including mini reviews of the samples as I try them.

This will be my first time ever trying any of MST's products so lets see what these guys have to offer

As for past experience with creatine and NO products. I have tried anadraulic pump, hemodraulix, primaforce n20, and scivation vasocharge. AP is my favorite of them all currently but I havent really tried hemo for that long (only 3 days) but it looks promising and looks to be great stacked with just about anything. As for creatine I had a bottle of CEE I took a while back when I first started lifting and that was before I knew what the hell I was doing, well... before I found this site known as AM.com. Since then I havent really tried any creatine products by themselves. I actually was looking for a creatine to try and was debating between cre'02, kre-alkyn and just bulk creatine mono and then low and behold I find MST running a promo to try it out and I was lucky enough to be granted a bottle.

I am really looking forward to trying these out stacked together and see what kinda effects they produce.

A little about myself, my name is Josh im 25 years old, a scorpio, like long walks on the beach, cuddling,... ehh lol.. well I have been a lazy slob for the most part of my life but have been trying to really get into shape these past 2.5 years. I would say the first year I completely did not now what I was doing and was just blindly taking pills (CEE) and going to a local gym and throwing around weights. Since then I would like to say I understand alot more the supplements I take and have a workout routine that I feel works for me. This past year I have really buckled down and made some improvements and the horizion is only looking better.

Well enough of my life story and on to the log!!!

Final Thoughts of stack

Altogether I enjoyed this combo very much. The pumps were great, NITRO is a top notch pump product. I can say this with 100% confidence. I have used hemodraulix, anadraulic pump vasocharge and Primal n20 before and NITRO is by far the superior pump product out of these. One of the main reasons why I feel it was the best is by the first dose you start to feel the pumps and with everything else it takes a couple days before you start noticing pumps. I was really wuite surprised to get that pump feeling after the first dose. As for cre02, it is a solid creatine product. Cant really compare it to other creatines as I have not really tried any creatine products that were straight creatine.. all have been pre mixes (other then some cee caps a looong time ago). Through the log I was running 2000 calories which is a lil less then 1k under my maintence and surprisngly was able to maintain my strength throughout which I think says alot for cre02. In the past when I have cut calories I would have a decrease in overall strength due to the lack of food but this was not the case here. While I didnt really make any huge strength gains I was able to maintain and even gain a little while cutting. Another thing I noticed about the cre02 is that it doesnt cause the typical creatine bloat you usually get. I never not once had a bloated feeling or appeared bloated in the mirror.
Going into this log I was 203 and 18%bf and by then end is was 205lbs and 15% bodyfat. So I put on 2lbs and dropped 3% bf. Cre02 is definetely to be a perfect supplement for anyone looking to recomp as it allows you to reduce calories and still gain muscle. I think the true test of cre02 will be over the next couple weeks as I will not be on any creatine containing products and we will see if any size gained or strength gains sticks around or goes away.

CONS
I only had 2 problems with this stack. First, which really isnt much of a problem, is I didnt notice any increase in energy from this. This could easily be fixed by suppin with some geranium or caffeine or whatever else you like. I am sure though MSTs extensive lineup you could find something else to add into this stack to make a killer combo.
Second was the encentric coating. This is something I wasnt too found off personally. When I lift it is first thing the morning and with the coating you should wait 2 hours before lifting after taking which can to be a bit of a hassle waiting around. I found it hard to motivate myself after those 2 hours to get downstairs and lift as I have already been doing stuff around the house and lost the desire to lift (this is where an extra energy kick would have helped) This CON is more of a personal one though as I am sure for the majority of people they lift after work and this wouldnt be a problem. You just pop your caps before leaving work and by the time you get to the gym and change it is Go Time!! It was just for me and my schedule it didnt fit for me. I am sure for others they would be able to make it work. I wish MST offered products with and without the coating.

Overall I enjoyed the month and think these are 2 great products individually and stacked together. Thanks again to MST for giving me the chance to try it out and log it for you guys and to all the reps and AM friends who stuck by and helped me along the way :D

oh and P.S as stated in my app to MST I am currently logging Apido-x for axis labs and should be finishing that up sometime in janurary and will not be officially starting this log till then so as not to conflict with my current review.

Also I will be talking with the reps at MST to see what supps will be allowed to be taken during this log and will be posting a diet/ supp/ and workout outline after I speak with them

Well I am finishing up my review of Apido-x and will be jumping into this log full time starting sometime this week or Monday next week for sure.. Just talking with some buddies of mine and finalizing the game plan for this log.

My main objectives will be
A. Cut bodyfat
B. Retain strength and hopefully gain strength and some size with the help of cre-02
C. And Pump, pump, pump it up with Nitroceps!!!!

I will be cutting calories to around 2k-2300 (I usually maintain weight at around 3k. In the past everytime I have cut caloires to try and loose weight I get frustrated because I see my strength disappearing. I have very little experience in supping with a creatine product solo and not in a preworkout drink and so far EVERYTHING I have read about CRE-02 has been stellar reviews so hopefully it helps out throughout the cut

Will be posting starting stats, supplement outline, and diet outline sometime this week along with some before pics and measurements.

Lets do this thing!!!!!!! I am amped and ready to rock out!!!!!!!!!!

So far I am thinking supp wise will be

Daily Supps-
Ghenerate 7 sprays AM and PM M-F off on weekends
Fish Oil- 7g daily with shakes (low carb meals)
CLA- 7g daily half AM half PM (maybe take some AAKG with it)
Sesamin - as directed on the label. Not sure what it will suggest and will only take on non-workout days
BCAA mix - 7 scoops xtend, 1 scoop EAA in a gallon of water and drank througout the day everyday
EGCG - Not sure yet

Workout Days
Cre-02. - 1 hour pre workout (and on off workout days taken pre cardio or pre highest carb meal)
Hemodraulix - 45min pre workout with the cre-02
Nitroceps - 15min pre workout

this is what I am thinkin so far as supps is concerned. Everything listed aboveis already taken on a daily basis and I am adjusted to. Only thing new added is the cre-02 and the nitroceps. Also the EGCG and sesamin and the BCAA gallon idea is new but doubt it would effect my judgement of the cre-02 or nitroceps at all

Diet
As for diet I am gonna base that on what days I can lift and what days I can do cardio and what days will be my off days and then Ill put that together.

But I am thinking on off/rest days very little carbs. Almost keto style but with strictly healthy fats and healthy proteins. No more fatty steaks only lean meats and chicken. On workout days have some wheat bread with breakfeast. Wheat bread pre workout and pre-cre02 and some fruit and scivation solution 5 post workout like a bannana and Veggies with all other meals. This is a general diet idea I am thinking.

I am figuring out what type of workout to go with now and will post my finalized outline, prolly in a spreedsheet and as ALWAYS I am OPEN to any and all suggestion and critiques

I am trying to figure out how I should lift for this run... Sooooo this is what I came up with... any suggestion and GREATLY welcome

Looking to get some great strength gains and continue leaning out with a little hypertrophy.

Mon - squats 10x 3
Tue (squat assist) - Reverse Lunges 3x12 / Split squat 3x12/ calves raises 3x12/ abs
Wed - 10x3 reps (with 2 second pause at bottom of each rep)
Thur (bench assist) Push press 3x12/ close grip bench 3x12/ skull crusher 3x12 calve raises 3x12/ abs
Fri- Deadlift 10x3 reps (with a complete stop and 2 second "reset" at bottom)
Sat - (Back assist) - pullups 3x12/ chinups 3x12/ BB pullover 3x12/ Bent Row 3x12/ yate rows 3x12
Sun - REST

Look good? Any changes should be made? Or scrap it all and start over..

jus curious on why the 10x3 for squats? you looking for power?
also, what run?
The Science Behind 10 Sets Of 3 Reps

What we are recommending is a bit different than what the common bodybuilder does. We are recommending 10 sets of 3 reps while most bodybuilders do 3 sets of 10 reps. So why the flip flop of sets and reps? The answer is motor unit recruitment.

Muscle contractions are signaled by action potentials (electrical signals) in the plasma membranes of muscle fibers. This signal is transmitted by nerve cells, known as neurons, from the central nervous system (CNS) to the muscle fiber. Nerve cells that innervate muscle fibers are called motor neurons.

A motor neuron originates in the CNS and spans to a muscle, where it divides into multiple branches. Each branch forms a junction with a single muscle fiber. A motor neuron plus all the muscle fibers innervated by its branches is known as a motor unit.

Muscle fibers of a motor unit are all the same type (fast or slow twitch). The more motor units you can activate equates to stimulation of a greater number of muscle fibers to grow. So how do you recruit the most motor units? By lifting HEAVY!

The term volume is used to describe the workload of a workout. Volume = Sets * Reps. 10 X 3 and 3 X 10 both have the same volume (30), but the stimulus and metabolic demands from each of the workouts are different.

Motor units are recruited according to the "Size Principle," which states motor units are recruited from smallest to biggest. The type I slow twitch muscle fibers are small while the type II fast twitch muscle fibers are larger.

When lifting a submaximal load, the smaller, slow twitch muscle fibers are recruited before the larger, fast twitch muscle fibers are called upon (if at all). When lifting a near maximal load, both the larger fast switch and smaller slow twitch muscle fibers are activated at the same time!

You must lift heavy to fully stimulate the fast twitch muscle fibers, which are the muscle fibers with the greatest force production potential. 10 sets of 3 reps provides a strong stimulus for both gains in strength and size.

So why not train heavy (i.e. 3 reps) on every set? While the slow twitch muscle fibers are recruited during near maximal lifts they may not be fully "weighted" or stimulated. As bodybuilders who are after both size and strength, we want to fully stimulate ALL muscle fibers, which means we must do both low rep and high rep sets.

This is why we include the "Assistance Days" in this program that use the 8-12 rep range. By performing the big three lifts (bench, deadlift, and squats) with low reps we create the stimulus for size and strength in the fast twitch muscle fibers. By performing other compound exercises on the Assistance Days in the 8-12 rep range we create the stimulus for hypertrophy of the slow twitch muscle fibers.
this is the reasoning behind the 10x3. I tweaked the assistence lifts a little to best suite what I have to work with a make a couple more compound and athlethic.

Any comments or suggestions on it? I am thinking this is what Iam gonna do and by "my run" I mean for the cre-02 and Nitroceps log :D

Well, D has good articles, and I guess for an articles sake he has to provide justification for his logic, but at the same time, 10x3 is sh*t unless he has a scheme for the rest periods. I prefer 5-6 reps as it still signals in a similar fashion, and the weights are a bit better to handle, but 3 reps is geared more towards power training, unless we are talking triples, but thats a different discussion (but still doesn't do much for size, and you can quote me on that).

well I like to lift for strength over size. and here is the rest peroids
On the heavy three rep days, we recommend you rest 2-3 minutes between sets. On the assistance days we recommend you rest 1-2 minutes between sets.
I will look into the 5-3-1 program you suggested. My main goal is to gain stregth and would like to continue leaning out as much as possible

I have to agree that the program you have listed is mediocre at best. Not knocking Scivation or anyone from that company...but it doesn't seem to be 100% ideal unless you have completely exhausted all other options and your body has hit a complete and utter wall.

Thanks for all the support and suggestions.. I downloaded the 5-3-1 ebook by jim wendler and it looks real good. I have just skimmed through it so far and havent had a chance to sit down and really read it. I have been crazy busy with school regristration, work, finding a second job, and planning my sons birthday coming up pluse had a couple incidents come up.

So I would love to try the 5-3-1 program but am gonna hold off on it, I dont wanna dive into it not fully understanding the concepts and goals of the program and half a$$ it so I am gonna stick with a typical 5x5 program with it split push/pull and heavy/moderate. School is starting on the 20th and Iwont be able to get to a gym till then and even then it is gonna be hard with school work and reg work. I do have a power rack with full olympic set so I am just gonna make do with what I have and plan to lift at hom. Once school start I might tweak the program some, like replace BB with DBs for some thing o add some hypers and what not. But for now this is what I am thinking

(Heavy Pull):
A1: DL
B1: medium grip pull ups
B2: BB curls
C1: GMs
C2: crunches

(moderate push):
A1: Short Stride Lunges
A2: Front squats
B1: BB Inclines
C1: Close grip bench
D1: Calfs

(moderate pull):
A1: Rack chins
A2: EZ bar rows
B1: Yates rows
C1: Shrugs
D1:Reverse grip curls

(heavy push):
A1: Back Squats
B1: BB flat bench
C1: Push Press
C2: Skull crusher
D1: Crunches

I wouldn't do a 5x5 for all your moves.. is gets to repetitious, and will get boring.. I'm not sure im sold on the10x3 either, but Ive never tried it so I wouldnt knock it. I like to try for a higher rep, but as my weight moves up, i still try and aim for a higher rep but wont get to it for example..

My Chest Days I always use a 10-8-6-4 routine as a minimum, If I hit a
10-9-8-6 thats bonus... I'll use that for Flat, Decline, and Incline.. Then On the cables I always do a 10/10/10. If I am really blowing threw the weight I 'll raise it to just keep me over 10 reps. I also do Tris the same day, but for all tri's I always do 3 sets/10 reps

For Bi's I am currently doing 3 sets for a minimum of 10 sets, if I go over and do a forth set Its bonus, which I always AIM for. Now I do back the same day also, Lat Pull downs right now I'll do 4 sets of 10 reps at the same weight, but torwards the 3rd and 4th set I'm really feeling it.

I would say about every 6-7 weeks I Switch things up, sets/reps along with the exercises, just to keep my body thinking and tricking it out so it doesn't get used to one thing, gains come more faster to me this way..

Thanks for the advice homeslice :D ...

So the other day I went and jumped into a buddy of mines lifting session and went along with his routine. He does the whole 3x10 thing right, so it has been a looooong time since I have done high reps. I usually stay 6reps and under, well anyway the gym was fun and afterwards I felt GREAT!!! I was surpirsed actually. The next day I woke up and was a little sore and a good sore, it has been sometime that I have felt like this. So I dunno if it is that I got used to the low reps or I havent been pushing myself hard enough with the low reps but I was really feeling the 10 reps I did with him. So 2 days later (yestarday) I decide to lift in my basement, it has been awhile since I lifted (with the exception of with my friend the other day) and I wanted to see howmuch weight I could do 10 reps for on my squat and bench. Well the same thing happened, after lifting I has a good feeling and the next day had that nice soreness. So again I dunno if I just havent been pushing myself hard enough when I was doing my 4x6/4/3/2 routine or what but this heavy 3x10 feels good and I think ima stick with it.

Tomorow (monday 1/11) Ima start with cre-02 and nitroceps. I work (12 hours) and after work (10pm) ima lift the first day of the above posted routine 3x10 and with heavy weights (well heavy for me at least). I am gonna try and take the cre02 around 2 hours before lifting (8ish after I eat my dinner) and then after lifting just have a shake and then sleep.

Will be posting up the official day 1 post later on this week and it will have some before pics, measurements, BF%, etc. Can't wait :bigok:

I do it myself, I got a digital pincher thing that I got from NP awhile back, not sure how accurate it is but it gives me a ballpark range of how I am progressing if I use it consistently
