i probably won't dose on fridays, as i doubt doing abs/forearms are worth wasting caps on. i will follow the recommended doseage unless it is
1 - too strong
2 - not strong enough

i will also do my best to take before/after pics of the same day at the gym - meaning i will take a pic of whatever body part i'm working out without a pump, then another after the workout, with the pump. this obviously hinges on if my g/f will actually take the pictures - but i'll do my best to give not only a description of what it does, but a visual image to complete the mental one. i'm dosing today, right before my total body workout, so expect an update :)

i'm semi grumpy about the requirements - no liquid food an hour before dosing, then dose, and then nothing for 45 minutes, hit the gym, get out, then take a shake. that'll knock off 600-800 calories from my diet. either i'll make those calories up somehow, or just leave it at that, as i will still be in a calorie surplus :)

regardless, lets see what NOS-FX can do!

WORKOUT 1
total body (GH boosting)

did some overhead squats, clean and press, deads, bench, pullups 3 sets of 10, in and out of the gym in 22 minutes. now on a GH boosting day, i'm expecting a heart rate of around 155-160, with no cardio. this is really to get me in cardiovascular shape, as well as increasing functional strength vs strength in one muscle or muscle group. took 5 caps 45 minutes before working out.
mood - normal
energy - normal (maybe recovery was a little bit faster, but i jam through this workout). pump - chest/biceps have a pretty solid pump going. at least that's what girly girl said the moment i walked into the door.

tomorrow, is back/bi, so obviously i'm not trying to tear myself up the day before, in those two areas. will see if i can get her to take pics on at least tomorrow and the day after (as bi/tri pumps would probably be the most noticeable).

so far, 80oz of water down. feeling a little beaten - though recovery from a total body day is fairly fast for me. going to find me some protein real quick.

I think having a stim free product , will be nice, lot of folks just cant handle stims, whats teh profile on this? can you disclose it/or do you have it?

You starting this next monday? or did you start it today?

well, i started NOS-FX today. the ingredient profile is "stuff". more than that breaks the non-disclosure agreement i've signed. it is stim-free according to the description, but for any ingredients you will have to PM thesinner maybe for as much info as he can give you :)

so interesting day here - day 2 of NOS-FX.

a mod at AX told me to feel free to play around a bit with dosing. dosed 45 minutes before workout. about 15 minutes later, stared getting a stomach cramp - nothing big, nothing serious - i have what they call a "cast iron" stomach. so i slammed my pre workout shake right before the gym (125g carbs, 50g protein), which is my usual pre workout shake. stomach pain went away instantly.

did a back/bi workout DC/thundergod style, which wreaked terror on my frame. back is trying not to spasm, etc. my bicep pump is insane! now i tried doing pre/post pictures, outside - due to the difference in lighting now, i can't tell a difference between them. i can tell a difference in how my biceps feel - tense, fairly hard, even when unflexed there's a little more density to them which is noticeable even by pushing on it.

mood is pretty high. when i finished my first rep/pause of weighted chins, i came down with a nasty headache. i know its from caffeine withdrawal, so no biggie. i guess i could get a cup and get rid of it, but the pump may go with it, which really would be a waste.

so, here's the plan for tomorrow to offset what happened today :
1 - chest / triceps - getting a picture in the bathroom where lighting is constant for before/after pics
2 - will dose my 5 caps with a sip of a protein shake to keep my stomach happy

that's the plan so far :)

may be caffeine related as friday was the last time i had caffeine in my system - withdrawals actually take 3 days to come into effect for me based on my last few detoxes off coffee. if not, my preworkout shake is an easy fix :)

glad you pushed thru the headache man, nothing is worse then a headache hitting you while your in the gym trying to get your swole on.

man, that about ticked me off. i've had worse though, and i know what caused it, so i knew it wasn't going to knock me down like a migraine.


pump still going strong - 3 hours to the minute since my workout ended :)

Dam 3 hours after? Thats nice.. Now I seen your taking the cap form, do you have limits to dosing? or will it always stay a 5 caps ed?

4 caps is sub 150 lbs
5 caps is sub 200 lbs
6 caps is 200+

if 5 is working for me, then i'll stay there that's for sure - no reason to go up. i may experiment and try 4 caps this week to gauge the difference. definitely want a great effect for as long as possible.

The 3 hour pump is pretty substantial. Nice job.

pump is lasting into hour 4 as we speak. worked out at 1:15pm pacific time, workout ended at 2pm - its 6 now!

i may bump down the dose, but again, i really suspect it is caffeine related. i think i may try 4 caps tomorrow though. thanks for your input brotha.

DAY 3

did a leg/forearm/ab workout today, doing a DC style template or sorts. energy levels are normal - maybe just slightly elevated. mood was high. did 2 sets of SLDL, which i note because of the hamstring pump i got. quads are pretty solid as always. hams though have been lagging just like my calves. again, the joy of not playing sports much as a kid. anyway, pump is a little weird. not a bad weird, just i'm not used to feeling anything in my hams, even after a workout. sure they're sore, but i've never actually felt anything tighten up - i used to swear that someone replaced my hams with sponges, because they are/were so soft. today is the first day i can actually feel the muscle belly in them.

i've already taken a pic for tomorrows tricep day (taken in fixed lighting), so tomorrow i can show you what i'm trying to describe :)

i thought it was tricep day today till i looked at my workout sheet.

If you have a balloon filled with 1L of air at 1 bar, what happens when you stretch that ballooon out so that it is 2L?

I understand what nitric oxide does, one of the main things is increased blood flow, I’m no doctor, but I thought it had an affect on your heart rate, maybe when your pressure gets to low, it tries to compensate which in return would increase the pressure.:think:

Even if heart rate goes up, that would compensate for the decrease in blood pressure.

If you've ever heard the warnings at the end of a viagra, levetra, cialis commercial, they mention loss of hearing or vision which can be caused by a BP drop, where not enough blood to certian regions of the brain. You should also not mix with nitrates as this could cause for a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Nitrates (XNO3) lose an oxygen molecule and cation to form nitric oxide, when mixed with a drug like sildenafil (which works to maintain nitric oxide, allowing for an accumulation to build up to fight "ED") blood pressure drops to the point where you might not even have ciculation.

One thing I might add is that blood pressure is not particularly uniform. Obviously if you have a muscle pump, or an erection, there is locally high blood pressure there. This leads to a large accumulation in a locallized area, and not as much blood to be distributed elsewhere. Back to the balloon example, where volume and pressure operate inversely, this leads to a decrease in BP elsewhere.

A common example, which some people reading might have experienced, (I have a family history of low blood pressure, so this happens a lot to me) is when you stand up really quickly, all the blood rushes to your feet and can cause a momentary loss of vision and sometimes a nasty headache.

DAY 4 NOS-FX.

dosed around 12:45, as i hit the gym at 1:30 or so. son's school called, and they needed me to get back there for some stupid crap. started feeling really hungry, dosed my protein/calorie shake at 2:10, hit the gym at 2:15. mood - pissed! at the school, man i'm bent - that's MY TIME!!!! energy - felt like i had a ton - 3 exercises in i changed my tune :) had a very successful workout today. chest/tri's feel pretty smashed up, and i went up in weight on most exercises (DC/thundergod style, that's the way it is). personally, i think it was very good, given i kept up almost the same reps while going up in weights.

anger and a pump go hand in hand :)

will re update tonight when my girl takes the 2nd set of pics. i warn you, the lighting sucks, but it will be consistent in both pics. i'd rather do that and have it accurate, than just be posing for no reason.

man, this DC/TG style is nasty! i've never run out of steam so quick before! nice, shorter workouts that produce wicked DOMS is definitely preferable :)

thanks brotha. man, i was ready to unload on that stupid teacher - i was at the school 17 minutes prior. why not just tell me then if it was SO important! argh.....


anyways, picture time. i will preface this by saying both pictures suck. the problem with bathroom lighting is it is really hard to show muscle bellies. but i also wanted the exact same lighting for both pics, so there was no doubts of "well, the sun is on top, so naturally the muscles look bigger, etc.

the only thing i can really tell, is the pump is so large on the second picture, that all of my tricep striations have disappeared.

that's what i was going for - honesty. i could put so many pics up with different lighting and you could "see" a difference, but that's just not fair to the consumer, or the log :)
