Genetics playing a role in growth with or without gear

Would it be safe to say that even with gear, genetics play the biggest role in how you grow? My last cycle I ran pretty high doses of test, and moderate dose of tren (150mg prop ed/50mg tren ed -11 weeks). Even with those doses my body can't seem to grow too well. I don't think my body is made to be at a high weight. I have to work my ass off to maintain what I have right now and it's not even that much. I'm 5'8, 190 lbs and about 9% bf. I have a real hard time getting any higher with or without gear.

absolutely without question .. i know that former pro phil hernon ran 5-600mg of test with 400mg of deca and 300mg of eq .. that's 1200ish mg and he was an absolute shredded monster

i truly believe most pros are like this .. part of their genetic make up is a mega response to gear

I agree not much if any of the huge pros out there have bad genetics as far as responding. Shape and symmetry is different. But, I sometimes wonder what it is that their ancestors did to make such good muscular genetics. I for one would say I have fairly good genetics for legs, brains, teeth, and wang lol but upper body genetics just arent there.

I'm in the same boat Irish. If only muscle came on at a fraction of the rate that fat does.

I used to work in a gym with a guy who competed. He was 5'8 @ 244lbs and said he didn't use gear until about 195lbs. When I last saw him he was pinning ALL THE TIME and had thrown HGH into the mix b/c he could not get past 244lbs. He got so disgusted with being at that weight that he started eating fast food everyday b/c he would have been happy to add ANY weight, fat or muscle.
