Gum arabic is just a viscosity modifier. You don't need it. Tell me what your trying to do and I'll help you.

Well, I don't know where Chemo is these days, but I am not sure what he had in mind by recommending this stuff. I can give you some basic info and you can try to apply it if you like. Gum arabic (acacia) is just a mineral polysaccharide. It is incompatible with easily oxidizable drugs like free steroids (non-esterfied and non-alkylated orals like test or 4AD). It's oxidant properties can be destroyed by heating to 100'C or boiling it's solutions, thus making it OK to use for this, however. It forms acidic solutions and is not compatible with strongly alcoholic solutions or solutions that can undergo an alkaline reaction. It is soluble in two parts water if an aqueous suspension is to be made or 4 parts fixed oils if an emulsion is preferred. The granulated form is desirable if aqueous solutions are the goal.

Thanks, Julius! I wasn't allowed to put my original cross back up. It seems we can't use animated gifs anymore here. Darn that bobo and his setting changes!! :p

Negative reps? Ha! --- Was it seriously for your previous post?

I try like hell to make my posts meaningful, helpful, unbiased, and factual, but they go completely unnoticed. But it doesn't bother me.
