I have decided to be the class lab rat and do an objective mini-log on my pro-stan cycle. Im calling it a mini-log because I don't have the time to update it after every lift or put up my diet but I will post as often as I can and give as much detail as I can.
Background: This is my first PH/AAS cycle of any kind (receptors are clean as a whistle), I am running prostan only, and I will be totally objective. I am 28, 185 lbs, 5'10, 15% bf, lift 5 days, cardio after 3 and on the 2 non-lifting days. Im running a super-clean diet averaging about 3,000 calories a day which includes 300-350 grams of protein a day. I decided to do the cycle because I feeling a little flat after cutting for six weeks and wanted a little boost of lean muscle mass. If I can get 5 lbs of lbm off the cycle, I would call it a success.
I have finished a week and a half at the 3x a day recomended dose. One in the morning w/ breakfast, one with one mid day meal 2-3 hours before workout, and one with my post-workout meal. I am also taking NAC & Milk Thistle (I know it is not methylated but I am paranoid F*** and what the the hell, just to be safe).
Results so far...
1. Definately have increased in strength. I have bumped up my weight 5-25 pounds on certain exercises. I ws definately shocked when I was doing close grip bench presses on the smith machine. I allways use strict form and can get 10 solid reps at 185. I was banging out perfect sets of 225 on my 3rd set without breaking a sweat!
2. I have been cutting for about six weeks now and stalled about two weeks ago. I definately noticed a slight leaning effect. (I have not been on any fatburner for 2 weeks, but the diet has also been tweaked so it could be that).
3. I definately notice a slight increase in mass in my bicepts,tris, and chest. My shoulders have new noticible striations (allthough could be from the diet) and they have become rock hard. Overall I feel a little harder and see some new vascularity (Im am not taking any NO booster).
Sides...
1. No hair loss so far (and I am keeping a very close watch as Ill be 29 soon and I don't want to mess with my hair).
2. Slight, and I mean slight acne on chest and sholders (meaning two pimples, probably the prostan as I shower twice a day, before work in the morning and after workout).
3. After about the 4th or 5th day I have been extremely tired in the morning and forcing myself to get up has become a battle. I have been getting 8-10 hours of good sleep though and I do not feel tired or lethargic during the day.
4. Aggression- I never belived in the anecdotal bull of "roid rage", but I do feel more agressive. Not, emotional, rash, or confrontational, just more assertive and aggressive. I notice it both when going out and picking up girls and in my Krav Maga class. I also cant stop listening to my metal-core cds (Throwdown, As I Lay Dying, and Unearthed have to be the 3 best bands to listen too while working out) and all I can think about is lifting, krav maga/martial arts, and banging girls (allthough thats all I did before, just now it seems accelerated...lol)
Conclusion...Im not expecting much after a week and a half but I have to say I am very happy with the results so far. Slight increase in mass, slight decrease in b.f. (allthough Im not going to say it is the prostan per se but I have broken the b.f. loss plateau I hit), an overall good feeling and boost in aggressiveness. The only negative so far is the tiredness in the morning. I will try and post weight total and bf% on future posts and post exercise results when I have time.
