Tore Pec, SD cycle?
I tore my pec, allowing me to do ONLY lower body lifts, along with running. I will not be able to lift as normal for 5-8 weeks. Tomorrow I was scheduled to start my 3-week SD cycle, should i go ahead as planned? My other idea was to run 10mg SD per day and cut. Thoughts welcomed...
Either way I will work legs twice a week.

the sd could help the pec recover quicker. take some time off of upper body. I would go ahead with the legs. if you cut I wonder if it might make your pec recovery take longer.

SD has quite drained me of water in the past. I personally feel better with "well lubed" joints when looking to repair. Perhaps M 4 ohn would be better suited.My The 1 LOG: http://anabolicminds.com/forum/steroids/254164-my-one-log.html

i would stay away from any chemicals while you are healing...there is no since in taking them when you cannot lift your entire body.....if you want drugs to aid in healing talk to your doctor

Hey MadMas, what part of your pec did you tear. 5 weeks ago I tore my pec major muscle wear it attaches to the bicep. It tore from my bicep and bunched up in my pec. The lower pec major goes from your lower chest through your armpit by the shoulder and to the bicep. My bicep was black for a couple of weeks. I can now do pushups again. So I decided not to get surgery because it wasnt going to affect my strength just looks a little odd, but not that noticable. But I feel your pain, I was going to start a ergomax cycle when this happened but I decided to wait untill I could at least do chest again. But if I were you I would wait and get the best out of the cycle. I know it is hard to wait but it will be worth it in the long run. But let me know what kind of tear it was.

I wouldnt use any drugs while you are healing. What you need is rest, and proper physical therapy to prevent the formation of scar tissue in you pectroal muscle.

Perhaps look into IBE's oral GH or IGF-1 this could def help speed up the healing process.

personally, I'd stay away from training.
I've torn a pec and recovery was not fun in the least. I did not train.
It's a tear. It's going to need all the time and stressless conditions to help heal and repair. Don't train. Big mistake in my opinion.

It could make things worse - cant IGF cause excess scar-tissue? I wouldt **** around...dont train, get plent of rest, and ask your doc about the things you can do to help it heal faster.Perhaps look into IBE's oral GH or IGF-1 this could def help speed up the healing process.

i agree, don't cycle anything during this. i would still lift though, light however. that much time off would drive me crazy.

Yeah it would - but keep messing with it until you're laid up for a year with a tendon injury and then you'll know the meaning of SUCK I didnt tear a pec, but damaged a rib at the costal joint (costalchondritis), and tore a tendon in that same area. It SUCKED, BAD. I couldnt do one pushup or a dip without being in pain...I ended up borrowing a friend's phsyican therapy text book and following the advice in there for a similar injury. I wasnt back solid for nearly 12 months.i agree, don't cycle anything during this. i would still lift though, light however. that much time off would drive me crazy.
You do have to start exercising the area to stretch the new muscle/scar tissue and promote healing by encouraging bloodflow, but only after its started to heal. Seriously, eat right, take your vitamins,and STAY OFF IT for 6 weeks or so.

I think it would be a waste of a cycle. I highly recommend you heal your pec's before you start a cycle.

I tore my pec major also, doc said it was a grade two partial tear, which was between tendon and muscle. Ill post more specifics later when i have the sheet infront of me. Pics coming soon.Originally Posted by 21"GunSalute

i have torn my pec before. injured it on a bench press contest then officially tore it a week later. i continued lifting without involving chest for about a month, then reintroduced very light pec deck for another month, finally advancing to light pressing movements. i kept in shape and was hitting the big weights within 3 months, a lot more careful however.Originally Posted by houseman
