Hi I was wondering if anyone here has a solution to my back and shoulder acne I developed after my tren/epi cycle. It has spread to my chest. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I used to have absolutely terrible cystic acne. I tried everything, proactive worked the best for me for a while then even it stopped working. Just finished up 6 months of accutane and I haven't had bad acne all 6 months I've been on it. I wouldn't recommend accutane tho, terrible sh*t. God awful in the sun, you skin turns to paper and you burn crazy easy. If it's bad enough you think you want to try something like accutane then go to the doctor. He will give you something with benzoyl peroxide in it. That works pretty well for most people. Proactive is expensive and if you have insurance you can get stuff from the doc for much cheeper. If that doesn't work over time then go to the dermatologist.

Why not just cut to the chase and go to the dermatologist? He's already using drugs which is what caused the issue in the first place...

I agree about the accutane. Its rough. And it makes it much worse before it gets better. I took it for hereditary acne and it was after every prescribed treatment my dermatologist could give me. His words not mine. Anyways that was the only thing that worked and I don't have to deal with acne anymore. This was 8-9 years ago. Not saying to use accutane, but using proactive or peroxide to treat acne induced by tren seems absurd to me.

Dermatoligists (at least around here) LOOOVE to run blood tests and liver profile tests etc, don't ask me why. They are also pretty pricey even with a decent copay. Doctors on the other hand look at you and then just give you stuff. Cheeper because you can go to your PCP, and a lot easier then having to wait days for your blood results to come back for the derm. Seems are also classified as specialists by some insurance companies so its sometimes a heck of a lot more expensive to see one then just go to the doc.

Valid points. But if the money isn't an issue I would just bite the bullet. Just my pov. What's the sense in being big if you got all that acne covering you...

Totally agree with you if money isn't an issue but if he gets bloods done and his hormones are outta wack he's going to be told to see an endocrinologist first before the derm does anything.

Been struggling with acne my entire life, well at least since I was 13 lol
Doctor or Dermatologist are going to be your best bet. I would start with your regular doc, then if he cant help he/she will refer you to a derm. I wouldnt recommend going straight to the derm tho. Like others have said they love running bloods and if you're coming off a cycle and not fully recovered it will show up on their tests

I ran EPI / TREN stack in Jan of this year. Didn't get any acne on my back but a couple here and there on my back. Did you run a test base on cycle? Are you running an AI? Make sure your cleanse and moisturize your back at least 2x a day ...

I could be wrong here, but having too low of estrogen levels may cause acne. what was your dosing for the stane?

I just thought about it and my dermatologist never did bloods on me. Only when we went to do oral meds, accutane I did bloods a few times throughout, but never initially. He did give me creams and rinses which worked much better than OTC. But the way it sounds this type of treatment doesn't seem like it will be enough for op's condition. Idk. I guess try your doctor

In the meantime you can definitely do apple cider vinegar topically, will really dry it out. Also vitamin b5 mega dosed. I start at 5g a day and it usually clears up any breakouts in a few days, however these things are for breakouts with me, I don't get bad acne anymore

my derm was most likely the spawn of satan lol
Not only did he do bloods on me, but prior to even doing any blood work, had already been accusing me of doing steroids (which I hadnt used at that point in my life)
He was a jerk, cant lie the dude was an ego killer lol but he did a damn good job of clearing my skin up so i guess i cant complain

Oo I was a fat kid so had no issues there. Now however I definitely get grilled. But if I used my dermatologist now he would know my history so it wouldn't matter. In my opinion if I ever feel like a doc is judging me or accusing me I will usually search out another. Especially with specialists.

That could be it. I was taking 25/25 eod then tapered down to 12.5 eod then last week to pct 12.5 e3d

so 25eod/25eod/12.5eod/12.5e3d
