Adrenal fatigue is sort of a myth. But, if you come off stimulants and caffeine your body will return to it's homeostasis state of being desensitized to them and you'll have more powerful effects from it if you stay off for a month or longer.

You might look into replacing it with theacrine for the time being. I don't know that it would with a full blown caffeine addiction and coming off of it, but they're similar in molecular structure and have similar effects, so it could be worth a try.
When I've had to come off caffeine in the past, I just switched to drinking a couple cups of some Lipton tea a few times a day and some Tylenol for the headaches. Beyond that, there is far worse stuff to withdrawal from.
