Sorry if this has already been posted, but I thought I would share some interesting marketing material from the company that now has the license rights to LGD. They are going to put it on the market for people with hip fractures and the information they have up on their website about it looks pretty good.

Viking Therapeutics – VK5211 for Hip Fracture

If you search VK5211 on Google you'll see the other info they have up about it, including the preclinical and clinical data in humans and primates and etc. Worth checking out if you're interested.

Phase 2 trials: doses of 0.5 mg, 1.0 mg, 2.0 mg for 12 weeks
Viking begins VK5211 Phase 2 trial in patients recovering from hip fracture

"In the primate study, oral VK5211 was administered once-daily at doses of 0.6, 3, 15 and 75 mg/kg to cynomolgus monkeys for up to 13 weeks. [...] At 13 weeks, treated animals demonstrated mean body weight gains of 20 to 47 percent from their baseline measurements. [...] Importantly, VK5211-treated cohorts were shown to effectively maintain their increased weight, retaining 70% or more of their gains over a four-week recovery period following discontinuation of dosing."
