Best Jobs in Health Care field for serious bodybuilders?

I'd like peoples opinions or experience on best jobs in the Health care field that allows a lenient schedule to continue serious bodybuilding on the side?

You're best bet is to find a position that is contingent. I'm in doctorates school, so I hardly have time to work anymore. Being considered contingent all I have to do is work one weekend date a pay period. Whether it's 4 or 24 hours I still keep my job. It's nice because if my schedule opens up I can just call and ask if they have availability. Can't beat hospital pay either.

Fire fighter and paramedic is a really good option, most stations have gyms within and staging fit is required you typically work 24hrs on 48hrs off, so the 24hrs on you can work out have your meals and access to full kitchen. When I was doing my masters degree that's was my proffesion. Nursing is a really good as well 3 shifts usually 12hrs each shift and 4 days off. If you want to do nursing route don't do inpatient or floor nursing do emergency room nursing harder to get into that postion without prior expirence but your on your feet slit more you have tons more freedom and the amounts and variety of knowledge you see and hear will amaze you. These are from my experience and jobs I have done.

I've actually been employed to this hospital since undergrad. I'm going for PT right now. I was just a sitter there once every other weekend and worked as a research analyst in the exercise phys lab at my university. Basically got paid 10.50 to study lol

What is involved in respiratory therapy? ...I'm currently a senior In health science major doing decent, I was planning to go PA school after PANCE exam but now I'm not sure if I will get in due to the competitiveness...my major focuses on a variety of careers in the health field so this is why I'm asking. My advisor sucks!

I'm thinking pharmacy is honestly the best bet as for serious bodybuilding (if you can get in) ..but I mean this is pushing the hobby/passion to the extreme haha obviously you're not going to jeopardize or limit a career opportunity for bodybuilding unless your the next phil heath.. I was also debating pre-med and going into endocrinology..but that would mean another year in school to take physics 1 & 2, then biochemistry (thankfully all chems done) then the damn MCAT..then medschool..you might as well throw bodybuilding/ gym out the window med school workload is nuts.....

Any guys radiology ..or other departments in hospital that pay decent?

we have a few sitter that are looking and applying into PA school.
Respitory therapy is pretty decent, you get to vent monitoring(critical care floors typically),breathing tx,ABG,intubations, OG and NG tube placement(atleast at my facility) respond to met calls and code blues. There's probaly some things I'm missing but it's a good postions if you have a lot of hospitals in your area, bc with nurses theres a patient to nurse ratio and then with RT there's not as many of them as there are nurses. PA school isn't impossible over achieve with credit boosters and maybe on your off time get your EMT liscene shows that you have previous medical expirence. Have you atleast had interview process yet? Also here's what a few friends did.... Find out where that specific PA school where there students do clinicals and get a entry level job at that hosptial/facility and get letters of recommendations from MD's, DO, CEO or system directors from that hosptial. Then it will give you a bit more of a chance to get atleast a interview.

My honest opinion, any 9-5 job will do you well. Nothing with lots of travel or heavy workload will be best. Law enforcement as well if you can hack it! Lots of natural drive to lift and be bigger than the street.

Easy as this buddy! Got to a JUCO and get your radiology tech degree of applied sciences(its a two year degree) than work making 40-50k for awhile! Then go back another year and get a degree in nuclear medicine(people who inject stuff into people and do MRI) 3-4 yrs of school and making 65k-75k!

Or you could do PTA or OTA! Or you could be an RN and then go back and get a bigger degree And become a nurse anethesist.(make about 150-200k

my sister is a occupational therapist for the school district. Has tons of vacation and works really easy hours. Usually works from home every Friday too. I think the ot assistants are called cota's and they also get paid well. Check it out. If I wasn't a teacher I would probably do one of those two.

Yessir! COTAs are what the assistants are called! I graduate this May with a degree for Physical Therapist Assistant. 2 years of school, start out making 45k-55k a year in my area. Texas, they make 80k-100k

Only diff in PT and PTA is that the PTA cant do evals and discharges. The PT also usually what makes the plan of care. Same goes for OT and COTA

My girlfriend is nuclear medicne tech, she has her BSN as well and off dats she works in stress test lab and for a cardiologist. She makes very good money

I'm working Kinesiology undergrad headed to PT school. While it's expensive, time-consuming, and a damned lengthy endeavor, I train exactly 1000x more efficiently than before I ever started down it. Additionally, all the PTs at my girlfriend's old clinic were in ridiculously good shape. Money's good after the decade of student loans. Just the sheer knowledge is so damned useful.

So yeah, if you hate free time and money, think about it.

Where are you going for your undergrad ? I graduated with the same degree and in PT school right now. It was either that or Pharmacy but took enough sports/physiology classes that I just decided to stay PT.

I did like it more then regular chem but, that being said Orgo for me was just a big "puzzle" and I like solving puzzles. So for the most part I liked it. Just a couple units that stumped me

Hey man sorry for the slow response,
Respiratory is chill, well it is where I work but it really depends on where you work. We manage ventilators (life support machines) and give breathing treatments..we also are a big part of the code blue and if you work on the east coast the RT will do intubation and A line placements.
