How long can you keep unopened vials of testo?

How long do unopened vials of testosterone esters stay 'fresh' ? Can you use them without getting ill after 10 years for instance? Even if they are past their use before date.

I'm talking about ideal storage conditions which I assume would be 1ml glass only vials, stable room temperature and dark. Surely there must have been studies on this by the pharmaceutical companies.

I had some I forgot about and used about 10 yrs later. They worked fine. There are studies and meds usually degrade very slowly as orals or in oils. Water based would scare me since the exp date is based on bacteria growth.

There was no change at all, no increased pain or anything?

I think you are right and that the water free environment in oil vials should keep them fresh. I'm more worried about steroid degradation.

Have there been any horror stories of people using old vials?

You could also bake the vials at 200* F for an hour, that should skill any bacteria but will evaporate the alcohol used to sterilize it too. It needs to be vented but I've done it a few times to gear that fell out of solution.
