All right, so I have stumbled across this site and come to realize it is full of many like minded and knowledgable people.

The reason I am here is because I am looking to increase my mass and strength but the traditional path has not led me to the results that I am looking for. I know that taking a PH or Anabolic will not do magic, I cannot ingest/inject and wake up in the morning looking like Superman, work and a proper diet is still required. With that being said I am still on board for busting it in the gym until I cannot lift another ounce!

I was hoping that the community could steer me in the right direction regarding possible PH or Anabolic cycles. I have never taken a cycle before and I HAVE done a large amount of research but there are so many options and possibilities that it is hard to keep up. When trying to find the best cycle I want to consider all factors (risk, gain, toxiciity, potency, sides, and yes even COST as I am a recent grad counting his beans).

AGE: 22
HEIGHT: 5' 8"
WEIGHT: 129 lbs
BF: ~9%
SEX: M

There's no reason why a calorie surplus won't add size to your frame at your stats

How long have you been lifting? How many calories are you consuming? Are you willing to have life altering effects from phs? The good and the bad?

All questions need to be answered

You can easily add mass naturally at your current weight. I would definitely just advise you to ingest more calories for the next few years before you consider something like this seriously. You can bulk up just adding a few Protean shakes a day or eating an extra meal. I went from 160 to 250 in about 4 years and all I really did was add a couple of shakes with various other supplements to my regular daily intake of calories. IMO PHs and AAS should be used after you've reached or approached your natural limitations, you are clearly nowhere near that mark.

You seem to have a good base, so I would add more food and keep the work in the gym.
At 5 8 and 129lb you can easily make good gains by just adding food.

I would add more food and get some mass that way. Cut cardio for a while. Get to at least 160 naturally and if you stagnate for a while. Till than I would wait. IMO

First I dont think you have provided enough to us. What are you eating? Are you even eating in a caloric surplus? There are so many different ways to go about this at your age. Personally I think you are to young to even think about this. Nothing a few extra supplements wont take care of, creatine, protean, ect, ect. I wouldnt jump in to this stuff yet.

I appreciate all the advice and will weigh all options before making a decision.

To those of that asked, I ingest approx. 3,000 calories. I have been lifting for about 4.5 years now, and my current supplement regime consist of fish oil, spirulina, multi-vitamin, whey, caesin, pre-workout, and a creatine.

Thank you for the advice and insight.

Nope, nope, nope. Eat more food. You will gain it and lose it right back to where you're stuck at.

The problem with starting roids while you're 129 lbs is that when you come off them, you won't retain as many of the gains. You'll retain some, but not a lot.

In the long run you'll be much bigger without the roids than with them unless you plan on just being on them for years in a row.

I appreciate the honesty and advice you have given me. I will look into those products specifically to weigh the advantages and disadvantages, no pun intended.

Correct me if I am wrong but I don't believe a steriod would have anything t do with whether or not you retain the weight. I thought those factor depend on dry gain vs wet gain? The steriod allows your muscles to hold more Nitrogen allowing the development of more muscle fibers. So to combat the post cycle weight loss, in theory, shouldn't I increase my diet according to my personal metaolism rate to sustain the added mass?

Couldn't you do that without hormones?

Eat.

Eating for size is a part-time job, literally.
Example: I am 237 but eating to get to 260. Sunday is spent cooking 2-3 pounds of salmon, crockpotting 8-10 chicken breasts, 5 cups brown rice, 3 cups quinoa, processing 2 pounds of peanuts, 36 hardboiled eggs, and I WILL run out of food long before the week is up. Some days I feel like not eating because I am literally exhausted from it. And if I were 10 years younger, I would likely need to be eating twice this just to hold onto almost 240. Does any of this sound familiar? If you skip a workout, can you visibly see bf increase? When you finish a meal, do you immediately start planning for the next? Do you have to keep a plunger around at all times due to huge poops? Do people gasp and make comments when they see your meal portions/frequencies? I can guarantee you your diet is off or you have an endocrine problem if you aren't gaining naturally. Steroids will only make either problem worse.....

I can eat more to maintain the weight I have but I cannot increase my Nitrogen levels, at least not to my knowledge?

No. You'll be in a state of depressed hormones (IE low testosterone). Not to mention a lot of people simply can't MENTALLY deal with coming off roids. Imagine steroids boosting your hormone levels to 12x what your natural levels are. It lets you build all that muscle. Now imagine your test levels being 12x lower than they should. And how little muscle you can retain like that.

Couldn't you do that without hormones?

Eat.
Yes, eat. If you do such a suppressive cycle, then come off, you'll retain some but in the long run you'd be better staying natty for awhile longer.

I just wasted a long post on you. Is that all they do? Increase nitrogen levels? So does protein, Einstein.

People do gasp at my meal frequency. I agree about the fact that cooking becomes so time consuming when you are cooking the necessary portions/meals. I wouldn't go as far to say somebody has a poor diet or endocrine problem if they can't gain weight though. I think the most common error is lack of knowledge. To somebody that doesn't dedicate their time to lifting or gaining it isn't common knowledge as to the mass quantities you must ingest.

Protein is chain of amino acids that contain a nitrogen source. However, a protein requires to be metabolized by the liver causing its efficiency to drastically decrease. However, a hormone does not need to metabolized by the liver therefore you retain the productivity allowing greater mass increase. Look, I came here asking a question to gain insight from those that may have it not to be degraded by some stranger. I am educated on the subject and the bichemistry behind it. If you disagree or feel the need to be a dick I request you simply do so elsewhere. However, despite the fact that you're an ass I still appreciate the counter arguments, somebody has to play devil's advocate.

Bottom line is... anyone no matter who they are barring people with true physiological disorders CAN gain a lot of muscle naturally without steroids simply by increasing their food intake.

You can keep making excuses man, but at 129 pounds, you're not eating enough. Unless there's a medical issue you haven't informed us of.

Sometimes it's okay to not eat completely clean. Eat for performance and eat for growth. I think you'd be much happier if you waited a bit. But it's your call. Maybe try a natty stack and for gods sake eat some red meat. Good luck bro.

I'm here to take a hot steaming dump(that likely weighs more than you) on your worthless thread where your pleaded for justification to use steroids. Now, a dozen of us have explained why its pointless for you and your going to explain to us how amino acids work? Excess amino acids are broken down in the liver, which you likely have none of. You can easily exceed the livers capacity by EATING MORE OF THEM and they will gravitate to repair tissues. So nope, wrong again. I learned that in my first year in college, after gaining 50 pounds naturally, with no problems at all from my liver. All around the time you were going to recess in the 1st or 2nd grade. Fu¢kin punka$s newb.

OP clearly had his mind made up before starting the thread.

In your pic you're so skinny bro. I know the urge to get big, but there's no shortcuts. Start a new strength program and bulk for the winter. Force yourself to eat, and when you think you've ate enough, eat some more. After a month it will be second nature. You will feel so much better knowing you did it naturally man.
