halotestin is banned and hdrol isnt

hdrol = mild
halotestin = freaky aggressive and insane strength gains

hdrol = solo cycle
halotestin = kick start test cycle and precomp strength boost

They both have halogen substituents. Fluoxymesterone (halotestin) has a fluorine atom at the 9a position and halodrol has a chlorine atom at C4.

but what does that mean in layman's terms?
Um. Not much? It answers why they both have "halo" in their names, which is what I figured you were really getting at with your question.

They do have *some* structural similarities (they're both non-aromatising 17a-methylated testosterone derivatives with halogen substituents) but they don't really resemble each other. Fluoxymesterone is structurally similar to some glucocorticoids (like dexamethasone). Halodrol is a more traditional-looking androgen.
