Have Low Test...What to do?

Hello,

I got back my blood test report a week ago and found out that my total test level is 288. This is an improvement from 5 months ago when my test level was 256. (I'm 28 btw and I have never done any hormonal cycle).

I honestly feel that my test is too low. I'm considering seeing a specialist about this because I do experience problems associated with low test (i.e. low sex drive, retain abdominal fat very easily, depression, lacking energy/drive, difficulty thinking clearly etc). This has been going on for quite a long time.

I have some questions though:

A) Should I see an endocrinologist or urologist? I heard a member saying that endo is often very reluctant to advise TRT therapy or very stingy about it compared to urologists.

B) I read that if you opt for TRT therapy, then it's for life. I would like to join the military within the next two years. Would this cause a problem?

C) Should I give test boosters a shot before going into TRT?

Btw, the doctor who saw my blood test report said that my test level was fine :(

Thanks.

sounds like ur current doc doesnt know too much about what he's talking about. 288 is very low for someone ur age.

honeslty, i dont know which doc would be better....and endo or urologist, ive always heard endo.

considering u have NATURALLY low test levels, test booster and the sort probably wont help. just see a specialist and see what they have to say, dont be affraid to get a second or third opinion....im sure there will be someone willing to work with ur situation

u really think those would help? i can see someone who dabbled in hormones to try that out. but the OP stated hes all natural.....so somthing isnt working like it should.

gotta see if his testies or pituitary respond,

if they dont then its TRT,

if testies respond to hCG its possible he will respond to clomid,

if neither work then its TRT and a sonagram on his hypothalmus/pituitary to see what other problems there may be

So, should I consult an endo and ask for these tests?

talk to an endo about possible reasons for why at such a low age, and try and find out how you respond to hCG therapy or clomid therapy.

hCG then clomid

From my personal experience, I would advise against seeing an endocrinologist. When I saw an endo, he was extremely stingy and bitchy almost despite my blood tests of 147 and 260 (im 28 too). long story short I saw a sports medicine doctor who rxes TRT for a lot of guys I know, and he put me on test cypionate 150 mg a week right off the bat. he would have put me on HCG if i wanted, but i just wanted to get on the injections. **** walking around with low test, that **** sucks bro, i dont really care that ill be on TRT the rest of my life it still beats the alternative. but yeah, i would recommend NOT seeing an endo and trying a urologist or sports medicine dr. instead

I felt like decking that f*cking endocrinologist when he told me there was nothing he could do. he was such a sniveling little dipsh*t i'd like to smack him around some now still, pis*es me off to think about it.

BTW i'm on tren lv right now so i'm a little more aggressive than usual

Ok, I'll give it a shot. Thanks.

Lol, yeah I hear ya on the low test feeling. I thought that I could improve it just by working out and taking proper rest and stuff. But alas, no luck. I'll consult a sports medicine dr. as well if the endo doesn't work out. Thanks.
