this is not neccessarilly true....i dont need 19 cals per pound....everyones metabolism is different....im 230 so therefore with your calcs id need almost 4400 cals a day....in all actuality i bulk nicley around 3500...if i added in another 1000 id just get fat....some guys who weigh a 100lbs less than me need more cals than i do to put on size....like i said everyone is different....there really isnt a cookie cutter approach....mabye this guy needs more cals...mabye he needs less....but to say exactly 19cals per lb...????3000 calories is too low for your weight. The weight gain rule of thumb is, weight (165) X 19 (calories per pound) + 500 ( pound of muscle) + 200 (calories burned during workout)
I looove Gyros! Always ask for "a lifetime's supply of tzaziki thanks"I'm not super strict on my diet, I cheat some. Was gonna grill a 17 oz steak but ended up taking a nap. The gf woke me up late and I decided to get 2 gyros instead! Then a mass shake 2 hrs later.
Hit the gym hard today after three days off. Lifted for about two hrs-good energy the whole time. I have noticed I have more stamina in the gym. Calories? Or Chemicals? Who really knows
what I do know is muscles feel more dense (could just be my head haha) and 13 hrs after my W.O. I still feel the pump! Also adding weight to each lift this last week has been really cool.
All in all, I'm satisfied so far.
I agree with you that everyone is different and some can bulk easier than others. I'm just basing my facts on Melvin H. Williams book of Nutirtion for Health, Fitness & Sport, Eighth Edition. The book I had to memorize to become a certified nutritionist. And as far as you getting fat from adding an extra 1,000 calories to your diet isn't necessarliy true. If you had a healthy diet, low in fats and continued exercising, you should be fine. You might add some fat but you wouldn't get fat. i think you need to read some more books....1 is definately a good start....come talk to me in a few more years son....i dont want to label you as one of those chubby personal trainers that walk around the gym offering bad and unsolicited advice, buuut if the shoe fits......I agree with you that everyone is different and some can bulk easier than others.
