Was thinking this was going to be a waste of my time. Felt no strength gain until yesterday, day 17. I was surprised how the weights were automatically just going up. I kept adding 5 lbs for a few sets and lo & behold I managed 4 reps each time, even though on each set I thought I was done. I finished off at a PR of 195x4 on the bench. Will go for 205x4 next week. Confidence is kicking in! :yumyum:
I'd say the muscle just doesn't tire out during the lift when you are ON. It is shocking how easily you can put up another rep.
I am not counting cals, 250+ protein. I'd say I am consuming maintenance if you average it out for the week - some days are higher cal bulk days while others are very low cal cut days, like when I rest.
Starting weight: 192.7
Hand-held device: 18.9%
Day 17 weight: 200.7
Hand-held device: 19.3%
