    2011 Gold Cup

Anyone else watch soccer? Thr first two games were routs and these second two look to be good.

GROUP A: Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Cuba
GROUP B: Honduras, Guatemala, Jamaica, Grenada
GROUP C: USA, Canada, Panamá, Guadeloupe

Mexico is in good form. Jamaica should make an impact even without Cummings, Stephenson, and Marshall. USA need to rebound from their loss to Spain fast.

I'm almost expecting each game to be a rout now. Grenada is just getting outclassed, their work rate just isn't there. Their goalie has made some damn good saves though. 4-0 7min + stoppage left.

Honduras and Guatamala produced a draw but it wasn't the cleanest game you've ever seen. Expected more out of Honduras and if either of these two teams make it out of group stage with Jamaica, they won't get much further. U.S. plays Canada and Panama take on Guadeloupe tonight. If the U.S. can't beat Canada, Bradley must go.

Guadaloupe and Panama made it clear that despite being outclasses they'll put up a fight. U.S. looked good and capitalized on bad Canadian goalkeeping, 2-0.

Mexico is on form and clearly the team to beat. Jamiaca looks good, their killing it on long balls. U.S. needs to win, a tie would be unexceptable. Panama's speed should carry them to at least a draw with Canada. Overall lots of good games and a ton of goals. Including a few golasos

    So the quarters are set. Bracket looks like this;

    Costa Rica Honduras
    Honduras

    Jamiaca Jamaica Jamaica
    USA

Mexico Mexico Mexico Mexico wins it all I think. Pulling for Jamaica though unless USA finds and keeps their form.
    Guatamala

    Panama Panama
    El Salvador

2 out of 3 so far, pretty sure I'll be 3 of 4. USA has the potential to take out Honduras and set up a rematch of the 2009 final with Meixco provided they beat Panama or El Salvador. But Like I said before, I think this is Mexico's year.

Very Surprised to see this thread! Jamaica will be great by the way, my bestfriend Dane Richards(outside wing for the New York Red Bulls w/ T.Henry and De Rosario ;-) Kills it with his speed! 4.3!!!

It's funny how the teams with less skill still find a way to grab a great keep...

But mexico's team is still without their keep and a few other players correct? I think they tested positive for a banned substance...Supposedly "food poisoning" LOL

U.S. looks pretty weak actually. They need to step it up!

Good to see another soccer fan. Dane is very good on the wing but I think Jamaica also had him up top, they were killing teams with the balls over the top, burned quite a few defenders. They were without Omar and Khari too.

USA takes on Panama again and Mexico take on Honduras for the first time this Gold Cup. Mexico is without 5 players but only 1 real starter, Ochoa, but Televera is handling himself in goal. I'm pretty sure the US will be without Altidore but I doubt it'll hurt them much.

Was disappointed with Jamaica, even with the injuries, they could have done way better
