  1. watch that back big boy. if it doesn't bother you go for those a standing presses I was just thinking of the back pumps and looking out for us older dudes I like to isolate them with an upright bench . just my thoughts brother , do it till your satisfied! this bodybuilding lady I am friends with on facebook finishes with lying rear delt flyes and man they rip your delts up try them next time see how you like them. really isolates the delts.


  2. Thanks Chef. I'm wearing a tight belt with all the standing presses to protect this old guy's delicate lower back. With the belt I feel well supported and safe.

    Thanks DW. I'm expecting a big strength increase and some joint issues in the coming weeks. In fact, it's starting now. In preparation I'm hitting larger amounts of fish oil, glucosamine and Joint Help supps routinely. I also realize my age and will be dialing back weight accordingly. Last thing I want is to damage a muscle or tendon.

    One thing I'm noticing is that the 1Alpha makes you feel invincible and 25 again! Feel free to dial me back if you guys see the weights increasing too much

    with the joint issues mark - can't recall, but have you run our 550XD yet?
    could stack these 2 together, or just finish up the run with 550 when 1-alpha is spent..




    and i don't often advertise in other forum members logs (kinda frown on that actually), but this time ima make an exception

    Thanks Steve. So far no joint issues other than mild bursitis in shoulder. Have indeed run 550XD in the 1Andro cycle I did last October. Plan to add 550XD into this cycle starting week 4.

    Feeling bloating in my stomach area. Minor headaches but otherwise feeling good. Recovery is still good.

    I did have 335 grams if carbs yesterday. I take it that I need to drop back on them? So the carbs are the cause of the bloat? I was thinking maybe it was the Greek yogurt (dairy). Hmm.

    It could very well be the carbs. I know when i ingest a ton of carbs i bloat and it usualy takes a couple days to go away. Unless i stay on higher carbs them it takes about a week or two for my body to regulate things.

    This. Also the yogurt could have an effect as dairy products do cause quite a few people to bloat some.

    Fast recovery and strength is here. Back pumps are still an issue. Started 3 g taurine in morning and another 3 g at night. The pumps kind of wiped me out during this workout but managed a DL PR.

    Yeahhhhhhhh....that's what I like to hear! Should really notice the strength from now on. Give the taurine a day or so more and see if it takes the back pumps away. I would suggest taking one of the 3g doses an hour pre workout also.

    Ate 2400 cals yesterday (167p/200c/100f). Headaches gone. Back pumps easing with 6 g taurine split 12 hrs apart per day.

    Ok, I'm admitting to be nutritionally challenged. Thought I can figure this out but, since Snags is glaring at me right now, it looks like I'm in macro trouble!

    Would like to bulk and add muscle but not add too much fat on the old stomach area. For the last two weeks:

    Averages based on 14 days of my cycle:
    2285 calories 158 g protein 230 g carbs 74 g fat
    Percentages: 34% protein 50% carbs 16% fat

    Flame retardant lifting belt on! Go!

  22. Ok so bare minumum I would like to see macros like this 225g Protein 225g Carbs and about 60g fat. That should be a good baseline for ur bulk right now. At least that's what I would do.
