Anybody have any recipes for some good homemade protein bars? I've been trying to think of a good recipe for a while now. I've been thinking some good ingredients would be:

A blended protein powder (currently have vanilla ice cream ultimate flurry)
    Old fashioned oats
    Honey
    Pb2 peanut butter
    Maybe some raisins
    Maybe chopped almonds

Any ideas for some good home made bars?

Ok these are absolutely to die for.
    Mix in one bowl
    2 cups of oats
    1 cup protein powder
    Quarter cup of almonds
Third cup of raisins or cranberries
    Half tablespoon cinammon

Mix in different bowl for these:
    Quarter cup natural peanut butter
Quarter cup agave nectar or natural honey
    Quarter cup milk
Quarter cup no sugar added applesauce
    Quarter cup dark chocolate natural
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix these up in microwave for 2 minutes and stir afterwards pour this into the other bowl. Then mix after thorough mixing put it in the fridge and take out when hard. Bon appetit!

Cool guys thanks. Any idea on the macros on one of these bars? (Generally speaking, obviously going to vary a bit depending on powder of choice, etc.)

I just plugged it into myfitnesspal recipe maker and when I made 8 bars it says:

    Calories - 270
    Carbohydrate - 36
    Fiber - 4
    Sugar - 18
    Fat - 11
    Saturated - 3
    Polyunsaturated - 2
    Monounsaturated - 4
    Protein - 13

Not bad I suppose. Ill probably make em in the spring and eat them between my baseball games during double headers.

Repped next time I get to my computer.

    Try:
    1 cup of oats
8 scoops of choc protein powder
    4 sachets of stevia
2 tablespoons of pure (unsweatened) cocoa

    Mix

    Then add
    3 table spoons of honey
    1/3 cup organic penut butter
1/4 cup of milk (it is important that this is measured. Too much milk will mess it up.)
    Mix

I advise mixing with your hands as this is dence and hard to mix properly with a spoon.. You may need some extra milk but not much. Im talking about a tablespoon at a time. Otherwise it will end up soggy. The milk goes a long way. It took me a few goes to get right.

Put in fridge overnight to set. You get 5 bars at 500 cals each.

You may wish to put crushed penuts on top.

These are absolutly delicious and are better than anything i have bought. I find it hard not to eat too many.

Here is a video from the creator: I've added the coco and stevia as extra. Depending on the protein powder you use you may or may not need these.

Nice man thanks. I love options. 500 cals looks good. Maybe one of the first recipe between games and one of these after the second game would be perfect. also when I start up roofing again this summer.

Anything somewhat healthy is going to be better than the random places we stop when in wisconsin. Although, there's a place called the cheese castle and I can't stop myself from eating a **** ton of cheese when we stop near there.

Props man- I mead these and they were 11/10. Used syntha-6 chocolate protein. Thanks for sharing. I've made 3 batches so far. Probably the only recipe I will ever use from now on!

I made a decent one the other day:

Mix together (adjust amounts for however much you feel like making):

    -quick oats
    -protein powder
    -small amount of milk
    -eggs
    -honey
    -chopped almonds
    -some cinnamon
-wholemeal flour (add as much or as little until you get it to a nice thick mixture)

Bake at 160 degrees (celsius) for about 15 minutes / until nice and brown on top.

Some of the other recipes look awesome, will have to give them a try!

I'm glad you liked them man. I think they are great.

I just updated my post to have stevia listed as the sweetener. Im not sure why i put splenda, ive never used it.
