Slight deficit (I like 200 cals under maintenance)
High protein (on a cut I like 1g/lb)
Don't overtrain in the deficit
Try to stay in a hypertrophy range. Generally 10-12 but varies by muscle group.
A good B-agonist is a large help in both regards IMO, as is any good natural anabolic
Utilize BCAAs if needed, during a cut my use goes up
