Incredible. I hope he sticks with powerlifting. Browsing through his video feed, I found a 735 lift:

In the comments it says his first meet was at 8 years old.

    Wow that's cool!

So, is there any truth to not training heavily at a young age or is that bs? I seem to remember being told that kids shouldn't train with weights above their bodyweight until after 13 or something like that. I'm guessing that was just some over protective doctor that said that or what?

Probably BS. This kid seems fine to me. I couldn't imagine being that strong at that age!. If he sticks with it, think of how strong he will be at 30!

We had an 18 year old put up 865 or something like that a few years ago at a drug free meet. Kid was about 300 and didn't look like much, in fact I thought it was gonna be a fiasco.

Found it. I was off a little did 705 (video) then did 740 and then missed 765 on racking the weight without waiting for the command. Still damned impressive. Doesn't look like much, does he.
