i am looking at rotating the 3-board press into my 5/3/1 workout as a heavy triceps accessory exercise, but need advice on how to best implement it.
whichever possible scheme i use needs to fit the 4week cycle i am on, i dont know what's best though, ie 3x5, 5x5, 5x8, how to increase weights from one week to another, from one set yo another, what percentage of 1rm to use and how it varies weekly, etc.... i like percentages, hence my appreciation for 5/3/1 and sheiko, i dont have that gut feel where you just throw numbers up and try to do better than last time (a la westside).
for example, today was my first attempt, I did 5x5 with 275/285/295/305/315 (the 1rm i am using this cycle is 330).
if I am overthinking this just smack me...
as always, any advice is appreciated.
