    Nolva and libido issues

First off...this is my first post and would like to say this is a very righteous board..

    onto the question..
I suffer from severe libido issues...Not due to any AAS/PS/PH or anything like that..
    Still not sure why..
But I am about to run my first cycle of superdrol and I am worried about using Nolva for PCT due to its nature of killing libido..
I was planning on using the nolva/rxt inverse stack for PCT..

what would you guys suggest as a replacement for the nolva(clomid maybe?) or should I even be concerned?

    Whirled Peas...

If it were me, I'd work on the libido issues before taking superdrol. You may have some HPTA issue which will only be made worse by the superdrol.

Well..I was put on HRT for 4 months with a little success..not much though..
The only thing is that It is kinda hard for me to get any type of medical help due to the fact that I am un-insurable.
So getting help for the libido presents a problem. I was lucky enough to trade out haircuts for doctor visits to my last doc..hes gone though

I'd still focus on that. Plenty of guys on thsi board have dealt with libido issues. A product like Activate from DS might help. If it were me, I'd be doing research here and putting my money/energy into your one identified issue. The reason I'm saying this (and you're free to ignore my advice) is that things like superdrol will mess with your hormones. If you have an underlying problem, you may make that problem worse and not keep the gains you make on the superdrol. Just my opinion.

I agree, don't take any steroid until you have dealt with your libidio issues. I did a cycle of SD and my libido only decresed slightly, but the first week 1/2 of PCT My libido was non existent. You might end up ruining your libido even more if that is even possible. I am very sorry for your situation, I hope things get better for you

So I am going to go to the local health clinic (sliding scale for pricing) and get my libido issues looked at before I run my superdrol cycle..
But since this is the "free" clinic I am going to have to be specific about what I want tested..
What would you guys suggest.. I already know what my test level before testim is(307)on the low side for a 26 y.o.. so what other tests should I "suggest" to the underpaid free clinic doctors..

    THANKS!

Well, you're going to need to explain your symptoms to the doctor. You said libido issues....but that could be a lot of things (lack of desire, inability to gain or maintain an erection, premature ejaculation etc.). The doctor may test for different things depending upon what your problem is. Erectile dysfunction (assuming this is the problem) can be caused by such common things as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and medication issues or it can be a more complex hormonal or psychological issue.

I would encourage you to not assume that you know the cause of what is wrong. Explain your symptoms and let them try and help (you could explain what treatments you've already pursued).

    Best of luck.

    Well I have no ED..
its simply lack of desire..The only reason I asked for some things to tell the doc because It is the "free" clinic in the rural Mississippi delta..the doctors are really underpaid and could pretty much give two ****s..

I dont assume I know whats wrong..I am surely not a doctor..although the salary would be nice.. I was just hoping that some of you guys would know some of the most common reasons for lack of desire (ie libido) and what tests to possibly request..

Hope I didnt come off like a know it all.. Just wanted some feedback..
    anywho..thanks for everything so far!

you have been a great help yearight!

    2 words - Rebound Reloaded.

Now, that said. I'd have total testosterone, free testosterone, prolactin, LH, FSH, T3, T4.
I can't think of whatelse. You can go to one of those online health clinic sites like healthtestsdirect.com to see what sort of bloodtests they offer. They should have an explainanation. Anything seeming to relate to the hypthalamus-pituitary axis would be best to get done when you go to this free clinic.

Do a search for bloodtest. See what others have had done. Supersoldier is a great resource as he works in a lab - so if you see any of his posts pay attention.

No no no. I didn't mean that you sounded like a know it all. I just didn't think it wise to fixate on a supposed cause when other things could be the issue. You know the old story, if all you have is a hammer then you begin to see all problems as nails.

Here's some info that might help you think about what might be causing your issue:

Lack of sex drive (Lack of libido)
Written by Dr David Delvin, GP and family planning specialist

Lack of sex drive (lack of libido) is extremely common in women but quite rare in men. Even men with erectile dysfunction (ED) usually have a perfectly normal sex drive.

Let's look at the possible causes in the two sexes - males first.

How common is lack of libido in men?

It's far less common than erectile dysfunction (impotence) - with which it should not be confused.

At our clinic we see only one man with lack of desire for every 15 with erectile dysfunction.

Most men with lack of libido can achieve erections, but have lost the desire to have sex.

What are the causes of lack of libido in men?

The causes can be either physical or psychological.

    Physical causes

    Possible physical causes include:

    o alcoholism - quite common.

o abuse of drugs - such as cocaine.

o anaemia - unusual unless the man has been bleeding for any reason.

o hyperprolactinaemia - an uncommon disorder in which too much of the hormone prolactin is produced by the pituitary gland.

o obesity - quite common; simply slimming down will often help.

o prescribed drugs - particularly Proscar (finasteride), a tablet used for prostate problems.

o low male hormone level (testosterone) - contrary to what many people think, this is rare.

o any major 'generalised' disease, such as diabetes.

    Psychological causes

Psychological causes of male level of desire include:

    o depression - very common

    o stress and overwork

    o sex hang-ups

o serious relationship problems with the wife/partner.

What should a man do about this symptom?

    Begin by seeing your GP.

Your doctor should usually be able to sort out the cause by discussing the problem with you, by examining you, and by doing a few tests.

But if he or she can't sort it out, your doctor can send you to a specialist.

All the above causes of lack of libido can respond well to therapy.
