Why do so many people try so hard to avoid pct? Is it really that much of a hassle people?

If you want results, suppression is part of the game. If your dose is so low that your body doesn't notice the change in hormonal levels - I don't think you'll notice anything either.
If you want to use AAS, use them correctly. Also learn and study up on PCT.
If you don't want suppression, stay with natty test boosters.
