I am a registered Republican. The Republican party at the time (1984) made the most sense to me.

My political beliefs would be described best as Libertarian by todays standards, although there is an Anarchistic vibe to the Libertarian party. My core beliefs are true 1930's vintage Libertarian which is a socialist structure without central power.

Today this is most similar to how E-Bay works, there is bottom up governance that is administrated centrally but is ultimately controlled by the end users.

Radical Islam's goal is to reclaim the earth in the name of their warped interpretation of the qaran, and kill all non-believers. That is very clear, has been stated by all of their groups many times, and is something they put into action. It is a piece of their credo and teachings from childhood. Saying that the policy of establishing sectarian democratic governments in the middle east does not help the american middle class is an incredibly short sighted mindset. If we don't sack up and do it, eventually they will spend their oil money on suitcase nukes and take down Wall Street trading, or just a dirty bomb in LA.

Its only a matter of time. We have to begin the long expensive process of first establishing a government where rule of law rather than rule of religion is in place. Then the economy needs to be grown so that the general poplace has the opportunity to work at jobs and feed themselves, rather than relying on welfare from the government (who is collecting the oil money). That is so as to give the next generation of young people hope, as the lack of there being any way to better themselves EXCEPT to die as a martyr in the fight to have radical islam rule the world and collect their 40 virgins in the afterlife is why they are willing to be suicide bombers.

Once there are a generation, maybe 2 that grow up in a land of opportunity rather than in a land of bare survial, things will change. But we do need to be there at least in some capacity (even if just "consulting") for at least the next 20-30 years.
