    Wow........just........Wow

So you would probably not be in favor of the government using tax payer money to bail out corporations right?

Wake up man, this isn't about right and left. If you are a Ron Paul supporter then I apologize as this doesn't apply to you, but if you are just another freaked out Obama supporter who is panicking because your horse is losing the race then you really do need to wake up.

im neither left nor right, obama or mccain. im concerned with the state that america is in. mccain will break the military, palin will be a pure religious propagandist and obama has alot of good ideas but, america needs substance. if ron paul couild win i would be thrilled, as i was also impressed with huckabee. i just dont want america to slip into a religiously motivated culture that is run by corporation.

It doesn't matter who is president, America cannot be made into a theocracy. Our Constitution guarantees that government cannot have a state sponsored religion. This isn't really a danger, it is used as a scare tactic, but it is highly unlikely.

Socialism, fascism, and even corporatism are much more of a danger to our country. The problem is that the Democratic and Republican parties are more than willing to bring us in these directions. Our politicians are lobbied at all day long by people who are payed big money by corporations to get laws passed in their favor.

Joe Biden's, Obama's vp pick, son just resigned from his job as a Washington lobbyist a couple of days ago. I would be willing to wager that Mr. Biden has voted for everything that his son lobbied for.

The system is crooked, because it is infused with money, and the answer to this problem does not lie with Obama or McCain, Democrats or Republicans. The answer lies in the people taking their governmet back from these crooks in Washington, and unfortunately this is not likely to happen until such time as things start to get very uncomfortable for the American citizen.

Regardless, the real danger is not from just one party, and the solutions do not lie within the other party. This is a lie fed to us by the media (which is owned by the corporations that you are rightfully fearful of) to benefit the system.

well said. it is hard to fathom a peaceful way out of this fast progressing mess we are in. america has some very difficult times ahead and it is the common people who will shoulder the brunt of the problems. just imagine what the revolutionist went thru trying to win our freedoms, and how we are handling their gift to us....

seperation of church and state is a very weak clause. we might not have a state sponsered religion, but we might as well have because politicians(most) run this country by pure religious ideals that we will never escape.

You're crying about theocracy but say you want Mike Huckabee to be president. Pretty much tells your tale right there.

are you serious? he was one of the worst offenders of doing just that. His deal with abortion being the #1 issue facing the nation at this moment, something he said multiple times.

The constitutional prohibition of a state-sponsored religion is implicitly spat upon each and every single election; if it were not, Obama's faith as either a Muslim or a Christian would be irrelevant. However, it is not - it continues to rage as a primary debate, and attacking point for Republican pundits. Nor would any candidate ever mention their faith! But, as it stands, being religious and faithful is the necessary function for election.

This is my point exactly. Well, sort of..

It isn't about left or right... it's more about up and down...

    Elitist versus Populist..

Although that observation doesn't nessasarily detract from us having a corporate theocracy...

I'd say it's more of a plutocracy, but I digress..
