Six weeks in to my program, final results will be in another 4 weeks, the reddish one is an artsy one but i liked how it looked, and the back one makes me look like ****, the pose is ****, and the lighting blows, the final ones will be better...

Just go for it, no one ever feels "ready", but just do it for the experience and then you can evaluate if you truly need a another year as you say.
