What do you guys think of the new flavor?

I'll start off with my thoughts-

White chocolate mint review:
View attachment 127657

Used my standard ice cream recipe-
2sc protein (WCM obviously)
1c plain ff Greek yogurt
2c almond milk
2/3c water

Upon opening the tub I expected a peppermint scent, but there was little to none. Even sticking my face it it was very weak which surprised me as peppermint is typically such a strong smell. Also expected some type of red flakes or something but the powder is just plain off white (same color as gourmet vanilla).

Once I mixed the powder with the milk and yogurt the smell really came out. Not overpowering but plenty strong to smell without getting your nose wet.

Flavor: this is exactly as advertised in that it's a very mild white chocolate, with a fairly strong peppermint flavor. The peppermint is not overly "minty" and is closer to the mint taste you'd get from a Girl Scout cookie or Andes chocolate. Nothing like a candy cane in that level of mint strength. The white chocolate is very light and I would say is more like a vanilla than a true white chocolate. I imagine if you took a scoop of gourmet vanilla and a scoop of WCM one after the other, they would have a very similar base. This might also be the perfect combo for someone who wants an even milder mint flavor (hint of mint ;) ).

While this is not my favorite of the select flavors (I'm also not a mint guy) - sd/cnc are still tops for me- this is definitely another great addition to the lineup. I've had quite a few mint chocolate flavors and this is one of the most enjoyable even as someone who doesn't particularly care for them. I'll have no issue taking down all 4 tubs I picked up. Full rankings for me go: SD/CNC, CPBC/GV/Blondie, WCM, MC

Mix: the powder is incredibly thick and so dense it almost clumps but yet still mixes completely with ease. As with the other select blends this mixes incredibly thick and actually made my ice cream expand so much it overflowed the maker ha. It made an amazingly creamy mixture that was a very enjoyable texture.

Overall: another solid flavor from PES. Definitely not my personal top flavor, but I think in a limited edition it's perfect. Not something most people would want year round but enjoyable for a stint? absolutely. For anyone who enjoys peppermint or even really any mint flavor, is imagine this would be near the top of their list of flavors available.

Swear the mint comes through stronger once baked, at least the aroma.

Very similar smell to vanilla in the tub, light mint mixed in a shake, strong in oats/baked goods.

Taste is consistently a candied mint, not a harsh mint so i am very happy.

Everyone needs this in ice cream or GY, so good.

Totally agree the more mixed and cooked the stronger the mint smell. There's almost zero in just the powder which is crazy

White Chocolate Mint Cheesecake Topped Brownies!

Calories per slice: 58
8g protein, 4.5g carbs, 1g fat

Ingredients:
Brownie layer:
1 scoop Select Milk Chocolate Protein
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup rolled oats
1 cup Splenda (or other sweetener to match)
1 egg
2 eggwhites
1/3 cup unsweetened milk (i used almond)
1.5tsp baking powder

Cheesecake Layer:
2 x 250g containers FF cream cheese
1 scoop White Chocolate Mint Select Protein
1/3 cup eggwhites
1/2 cup splenda
1 tsp mint extract (or double scoop the WCM)

Directions:

- Add all brownie ingredients into a good blender or nutribullet, pulse until completely blended.
This will take some time depending on your blender as there are few wet ingredients, may need to shake/scrape sides and re blend a few times.

-Pour into 9x13 cake pan or pyrex dish (grease this first)
-In a large mixing bowl beat cream cheese until softened
-mix in everything else
-pour over brownie batter
-optionally crush candy cane over top
-Bake at 350 for 24 minutes, remove and let cool completely
-refrigerate 4+ hours to set
-Mine cut into 24 pieces nicely, size as you like them

-Enjoy!!!

Very good review brother. Thanks for taking the time to do this. :)

Interesting how low it is on your list! Although they are all so damn good it's hard to rate! I have a mint chocolate bias though I guess.

I know some people find this hard to accept as an actual opinion, but it's true that even my lowest ranked flavour of Select (Chocolate) still tastes better than almost every other protein I've tried(Not something like UMP or XF though that is insanity). So even being at the bottom of a Select flavour ranking still makes the flavour upper echelon IMO.

I am partial to blends though. Not a big fan of regular whey.

I figured this was the case. So much awesomeness. So hard to put it in order!

My top two are WCM and PBC.

I mixed a scoop in 8oz unsweetened vanilla almond milk and 6oz water post workout, seriously thought I was having dessert before dinner. I drank half and put the rest in the fridge to sip on after dinner, it was too damn good to have all at once. Home run, PES.

Anyone have a go-to amount of Greek yogurt they use to mix a scoop of this stuff in? I'm fiending for more and want to make a good snack out of it instead of a shake.
I also plan on making some WCM bark as per Driven2lift's recipe, may or may not share with the family ;)

Anyone who hoped for a stronger white chocolate taste this is for you,
WC overpowers the mint.

Recipe soon but this is essentially just light white chocolate pudding with WCM mixed in, set, and topped.

I love looking at your creations Driven. I'm way too lazy to make any of them, but I love imagining how they would taste via your foodporn shots. Amazing as usual.

Hahahaha that's not bark, that's a BRICK
Well on the plus side, if anyone gives you **** while out Christmas shopping or something, just take the bark out and bust it over their head.

Makes a handy weapon as well as a delicious treat, and you will truly be giving them "The gift of Select" and a real good "taste" of the seasonal flavour!

Touché,
Although Other great pudding/select combos are:

Oreo/PBC
Butterscotch/Blondie
Pistachio/vanilla (trust me)
Strawberry/CnC
Banana/chocolate
I also love vanilla mousse / snickerdoodle

I post a lot of sometimes intricate things but 90% of my diet is very quick/easy to prepare, I don't like wasting time cooking.
When I do a recipe the time is "productive" to me though

Yeah a lot of your recipes seem simple so even a jackass like myself could (hopefully) pull it off. My problem is I lack a lot of baking/cooking ingredients. I keep only essentials on hand, only use salt and pepper and olive oil for cooking really, not much else, so the laziness is me going out and buying stuff just to make delicious goods. Even the pudding would require me to go out of my way to buy it or remember to buy it.

One day though, when plain shakes begin to bore me, on that day, I will need your glorious recipes. I've read you are putting them all up on IG so that will be my first stop.

I am not a fancyboy hahah I only do use a little bit of salt, some pepper and from time to time some Frank's Red Hot. I actually try to keep things real simple so I stay on track with diet though.

Last two years or so I've changed everything about my eating(how, when, what etc.), so I want to form a solid foundation of good habits and of cooking simple healthy meals consistently, before I start taking the next steps of cooking more elaborate healthy meals.
