Anavar only (please read before flame)
Guys, Flame: on/(off) please
Before anyone says "just research more", "add test in your cycle", and the same parrotted statements, lemme tell you I've researched this topic to death the past 2 years.
About me: Started hdrol my very first cycle. 10 months later did an epi/sd bridge. 5 months ago I was going to run my first ever test/clen cycle, but goals have changed. I was at 215 and cut down to 192 these past 5 months, and after seeing definition and vascularty, I tend to stay where I'm at and maybe put on 5-7 more lbs of lean muscle. I may need to get my bf% re-estimated, but I think it's around 10-11%. I'm also in athletics and have gotten to the point in my life where I'm the most athletic i've ever been (so putting on A LOT of weight/muscle is a no no). I want the athletic, lean look. Not the juice head gorilla image.
Now, I just need opinions and maybe some input. I have 400 tabs of anavar and have decided to put these badboys to use. I was thinking of this following cycle:
Anavar: weeks 1-8/ 80mgs
Nolvadex: weeks 9-13/ 40/30/20/10
Liver support will be incorporated as is
Now I got a few questions. 80mgs does seem a lil high for an 8 week cycle, maybe I'll bump down to 70mgs. How bad do you think this would effect my sex drive/libido? I've read ppl who said it actually boosted their libido while ppl's libido suffered. And would it be fine to use viagra while on? Also, if I were to eat low-moderate carbs and bump my protein up to 200g, would that be enough to put on more lean muscle?
Mind you, I play dual sports (basketball/football). Any advice would be appreciated! If adjusted or is fine as is, I will run a log for this cycle if ppl are interested. Thanks! - 01-29-2011, 05:53 PM
You could throw in some transderm Dermacrine from NP as somewhat of a test base, it can only help and enhance gains, def wont hurt.

yea or drop it to 70 and do 10 weeks, my appetite was low..had to force myself to eat, but u could be different. "libido" is in your head...its how much you want to, so ask nicely and the misses might do whatever gets ur libido high. fine to use viagra, good pre-workout boost. if your doing alot of sport, eat a medium or your normal amount of carbs, and keep protein high,200g be fine. nolva is too high, no need to go over 20 for any cycle. it doesnt become any more effective after that, 20,20,10,10. good luck

I like the hear of this! If I were to run it at 70mg, I only got enough for about ~9 weeks. Yea, sorry about the nolva dosing. Definitely forgot all about the standard 20/20/10/10 dosing. Thanks!!!

Yea i've read 40-50mg is the smooth way to go, without too many complications. Maybe no complications at all, with an easy transition into PCT and recovery. But I've also read those who went up to 100mg and LOVED it. I think somewhere in the middle (60-70-80mg) is where that sweet spot may stand for me. Not trying to be too prideful of this fact (just tryin to stay humble) but anavar is prescribed to virtually ANYONE, including little kids. I think as an adult, the body is able to withstand more mg's per dose. That's y I'm loggin this if I pull thru so other ppl can base a similar or exact cycle to mine. It's just kinda disappointing how I find so very few logs on anavar only cycles.

Yeah i see the "should i run more than a gram a test week " question the same way, IMO after a gram a test a week its a waste, but im sure lotta bros will call me out about this, just my personal rules of thumb from back in the day, never more than a G of test /WK and no more than 40-50MG ed of var just my opinion

I couldnt agree more when you say there are not alot of Var only cycles posted anywhere. I am much like you in terms of where we are in training. I do not want to put on a ton of mass, but wouldn't mind gaining 5-7 lbs of lbm while dropping about 4% BF. I am currently about 220lb and 11-12%BF. I have a reliable source for Var but have been hesitant to pull the trigger mainly because I have never taken anything to this level (2 previous PH cycles over a year ago, that did work to a point) but not like this. I am ready though to take something. I train hard 4-5 days a week and stay very healthy. I will probably lean towards doing this Var cycle but would love to see some of your results. Well I am sure you will already note that I would suggest stacking something with Anavar such as Test Enanthate. Believe it or not stacking 300mg a week of TE wouldn't be bad and wouldn't necessarily give you the NJ Gorilla Guido look "no offense to those that love that look".
But if you insist on sticking with Anavar only cycle I would drop it to 6 weeks and dosage between 70-75m daily in split dosage. - 05-11-2011, 10:56 PM

I find var really easy to recover from but flipside is appetite goes to sh1t.

Im 40 gonna be 41 in August. Been a gym rat for over 20 years now. Im 6"3 and weigh 230lbs. About 12-15% bodyfat. Starting monday im doing one 7 week cycle of Anavar. Only gonna take 40mg a day. Dont want more mass just want to lean down and dump the little bit of fat on my stomach and gain some vascularity. Thats my only goal. I work out 5 days a week and doing 30 minutes of cardio (fast walk on the treadmill) a day. Also I have never used anything other than creatine in my life. So this is a big jump for me. I also picked up some stuff for my liver and a test booster that ill use during this cycle as well. Any comments? Advice?
