need for 5-alpha reducatse inhibitor???

  1. need for 5-alpha reducatse inhibitor???

    hey guys..
i posted in my other thread that im starting my first cycle of test.
wanted to know if theres a need for a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. its finasteride (proscar n propecia) that stops the conversion of test to dht, thus helps prevent baldness n chances of an enlarged prostate. i was thinking of adding it to my test cycle to remain on the safe side.
what do u guys think abt it? will the decrease the muscle building impact of test or any other AAS?
also.. is there a need of a cortisol controller for pct? if any, pls suggest one n at what dosage should it be run? n is there a need for something to regulate bp or theres no need?
thanks n sorry for taking everyone's time.
    take care.

  2. Finasteride i would say you should only use if your prone to DHT related problems. It also depends on the dose you're taking each week of testosterone. Anything that you get from DHT (gain wise) you may decrease with its use. Stuff like muscle hardness and vascularity is associated with DHT. Cortisol support won't hurt, only help your post cycle. I've used a product called 11-Test with good results. I used it at doses of 200mg a day, because at high doses it can be androgenic which will hurt recovery. I personally never had BP problems from use even though it runs in my family. Check your blood pressure every few days to ensure its in check. If it starts rising out of normal range, supplement with Hawthorne Berry, or some other BP regulator. Hope that helps man.

  3. thanks bro.
sorry im not aware of 11 test. u used it for cortisol control post cycle?
btw.. ive some lean xtreme. do u think it wud be good idea to add in lean xtreme for pct?
wud u recommend something for acne control?

  4. Yes I used it for cortisol control. 11 test is made by Fast Action and is just a cheaper version of 11-oxo, but works equally as well(same ingredient). Lean xtreme's ingredient helps control cortisol, so yes it would be good in your pct. I've never used something for controlling acne, so i can't recommend a certain product. I wouldn't use anything unless acne gets completely out of control, which most likely won't happen. I don't know your body so make that choice for yourself.

thanks bro.. ill be starting my cycle in a few day. if i come across acne probs i might consult a doc for that. lets c.

  6. Not a problem, good luck.

  7. Just bear in mind that Finasteride will raise estrogen and make gyno problems more likely, so if you use it, at least have an AI+SERM on hand. Don't worry about it unless you're already losing hair, or have good reason to believe that you will. It will also help with acne, which is mostly an androgenic side effect. Megadosing Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) is also believed to help with acne (3-5g a day for prevention). It has not been demonstrated in studies, but there is plenty of good anecdotal evidence.
