How much is too much?
Sometimes nearly 1/4 of my calories come from milk. I am usually around 2500-2600 a day with 600 of those being skim milk. I find it an easy/cheap way to get 0 Fat calories (tast good too). My breakdown is usually close to 15f/40p/45c.
I drink WPI before and after workouts with Oats, but Milk all throughout the rest of my day, with meals and as a snack if I have to go more than a couple hours with out a meal.
My question is, is there any problems with drinking 6-10 cups of Skim Milk a day.

I have been doing research and have found this topic come up a few times in other threads, and so far no one has had any real negative feedback about too much milk. Only exception is near workouts (Pre and Post), and that looks arguable at best. I am using WPI pre and post so it's not even really a question for me anyway.

Milk is the nectar of the God's my friend, well, I'm not sure if I would go that far but it is great. I drink around 6-8 cups a day and have never had problems with fat. I think it's great, not only for the macro breakdown, but for it's micro nutrient value as well.

The second one is more research based some of it done by NASA Langley research center. But they don't really say that Milk causes heart disease. They say there is a corolation between drinking milk and heart disease. Which basically means that people who have heart disease have consumed dairy products. Well No shiat most every one has at one time consumed some sort of dairy product.
I think for now I will keep hittin the moo juice. But thank you for the interesting discussion and information. This is exactly what I was after was to explore weather or not you could drink too much milk. So far I am gaining lots of info.

If you don't put on fat drinking that much, then great. I couldn't do it. That's around 60-70 g's of sugar daily coming from just milk, not too mention approx. 700 mg's sodium. I'd be huge. I like milk too, but most of my carbs come from much lower sources of sugar such as green veggies and oats.

Yeah, that being said it isn't refined sugar and the GI of Skim Milk (in Canada at least) averages out around 35-40 which is fairly low.Originally Posted by scott72

Thank you all for the comments. My wife is a member of snopes message board and she posted the same question. She got lots of responses as well, some from doctors and even a gastroenterologist (sp?) none of them were really negative. Only concerns are with fats and just quantitiy of calories. Which neither is a concern here.

I drink a gallon of milk a day easy. Skim milk if I am worried about fat, and 1% if I just bulking it.
The only problem is I get cranky if I don't get my milk, just like a baby
