  1. CHICKPEAS and water retention?

i consume CHICKPEAS on a daily basis and i am wondering what about the water retention and the caloriew that include? is it wise to consume CHICKPEAS or to avoid while on a cutting phase?

They are healthy and great in a cut.

Eat a lot of them and there will be some retention but the same is true of any carb source really.

Opt for the sodium free ones if using canned, and I would only ever really worry about this in the final phase of a contest prep maybe

If it fits your macros you are good to go. Plenty of minerals, protein, and fibre in them.

  5. OP, do you have a slow cooker? If you buy a bag of beans, it is a lot cheaper than buying them canned. You can cook them n the slow cooker for 8 hours and they taste so much better. Plus, you can add whatever seasonings and spices.
