I consume whole foods before my workout (i.e. greek yogurt or piece of bread with banana), but I'm looking for an alternative such as BCAA because I'm also looking to cut calories. I've read BCAA helps with recovery, but does it boost energy if taken pre/intra workouts? Do I need it or should I just stick with whole foods? What are your favorite brands?
