    Guess this falls under "Health" session... Anxiety / Panic attacks?

    Ok, so here's my story;

    I've always been a big stim junkie, used it a lot, was very unresponsive to it, did everything by the book though, took my breaks and everything, but still had a high tolerance.

    Ran Clen for a while, following the routine 2 weeks on x 2 weeks off, did it for say, 2 - 3 months. Did ephedrine back in the day, but haven't used it in over 9 months now. And I always just had a lot of coffee throughout the day, my favorite beverage. Would have about 8 cups a day. Everything was fine and dandy, no real problems aside from the occasional jitters and shaking. Still I felt like a million bucks.

    And here's now; my BP was a little elevated. 140/90, so I decided to take a break for 2 - 3 weeks before I had a physical at work, which also dictates my insurance rates, just to make sure I would pass with flying colors so I could get a good rate. So I quit. Cold Turkey. All stims. And started using Revamp.

    Everything was going great until I thought I was having a heart attack and rushed to the hospital. It wasn't a heart attack, it was an anxiety / panic attack. That was isolated, pretty much as soon as I decided to give up on these. After that I started noticing my heart was much more accelerated than usual, almost as if I was still on stims. I was always pretty alert, even though I had no coffee... A few days later, same symptoms and hospital again... Diagnosed with Anxiety. It seems as, since I quit cold turkey, my body which was used to having all those outside stimulants decided that, since it was no longer receiving them from an outside source, it would start pumping extra adrenaline through my body.

    Well, my brain had an issue with that, as it wasn't expecting that, and saw that as a signal that I was in danger and now I have constant - pretty much daily - anxiety attacks, sometimes bad ones too. Went to the doctor, got prescribed some relaxants (lorenzepan) for whenever it struck, but I've been taking those for about 6 days and symptoms are still there. I got referred to a psychiatrist, and well, I have psychiatrists in my family and asked them what is the standard procedure - 6 months to 1 year of anti-depressants comboe'd with releaxants...

    Well, needless to say, I would HATE to have to be on AD and Relaxants for a freaking year... Will have the visit but that is what is shaping up to be the case... I guess my question is, has anyone else dealt with anything in these lines? I've been taking a Valeriant Root supplement but that only helps so much, not really doing the whole deed and I still feel very anxious and all. Further concerns are, taking those drugs I won't really be able to take my normal supplements, let alone steroids, which is annoying, but health comes first, obviously, and I will need to get this treated. Just wanted to see if anyone else had any experiences...

    All comments are appreciated.

    My girlfriend has panic attacks to the point of hysteria. I bought her some phenibut. She says it helps.

    Check out the website of Dr. David Carbonell. He has tips on there as well as a book called Panic Attacks Workbook. If you're in the Chicago area, he takes patients as well, but I have to say his book is as good as going to see him and a LOT cheaper. The problem that you are most likely having now is that you are afraid of having another panic attack, which get you worked up and back in the ER. I went to the ER for my first one because I thought I was dying and have tried pretty much every med and technique out there. If you do want a drug that you don't need to take everyday and just when things are getting bad, look into a beta blocker like Propranolol. If you have any questions about anything at all, please feel free to PM me.

    Weird thing is that I don't usually get stressed out, and I have no freakouts or feel like I'm in any danger, or am really anxious at all; it's mostly psychosomatic issues, i.e. my right eye will start having difficulty blinking, my head will feel "tight", my arms will go slightly numb / tingly, vision will be foggy, but nothing really that leads me to freak out or think I'm gonna die, etc. It is all physical stuff, my mind is usually pretty clear. Of course, that is until these start and I start fighting hoping it doesn't start to get worse, and it just feels uncomfortable.

    Granted, a pop of lorenzepan gets rid of everything in a flash, but don't see that as a long term answer. And it's usually in the morning, in the afternoon I'm golden. Doesn't interfer with my working out at all.

    I will give phenibut a go as well to see how it goes and check out the website. Thanks for the input guys.

    Thanks for all the inputs;

    Also figured I would share, I've been taking some GABA and it seems to be helping out fairly well. Still having some issues but will continue giving a try with all the inputs.

    Guess on a side note question, whats supps would be safe to take along? I know nothing with caffeine, but how about creatine, daa, that kind of stuff? I'm also taking some Life Support and whatnot, but wasn't sure what would be kosher.

    When it comes to something this serious a board isn't a place to look for answers. I would consult a specialist bro or your general doc.

    Everybody is going to respond to things differently and this refers to meds that may help them, but also triggers that set them off. Creatine should be fine, but some people get anxiety from DAA. I've been fine on DAA, but some have issues. Again, it all depends on how you respond to things. When it first starts is the worst because you just want to do anything that will never make it happen. For a while I stopped cardio because getting my HR up was enough to freak me out and spin into a panic attack. Unfortunately there is always trial and error, but caffeine (or stims in general) and DAA are two that you MAY have to stop. Some people do just fine on them though.

    I like Newtonselite's suggestion of a program that promotes meeting the issue head on. There are many out there that just mask the problem or teach you to ignore it. Once you realize that the feelings you are feeling are not going to harm you and will pass, that is when things get easier. This takes time though and is not easy when you feel like you are dying. I know this, but it does get better.

    I have already scheduled doctor visits, but those take time unfortunately and I'm trying to control the situation until I can actually go in. Not a substitute for medical advice, just a complement with a natural approach rather than hardcore drugs that I will probably have to be on for an extended period of time.

    Update...

    Well, ironic to say the least...

    Visited the doctor... Was already feeling the symptoms while talking to him. Everything went fine until we had a severe discussion on his "method of payment" (started claiming, at the end of the session, that I had to pay upfront rather than let my insurance cover it and pay the co-pay after. Claimed it was "how they operated"). So needless to say, I got really pissed off and started arguing with him and left without paying - gee, I wonder if I'll be going back to that doctor...

    So, at that time, with stress and adrenaline rushing through my veins, one would assume I would have another anxiety attack. Boy, was I wrong. I felt better than ever. So I called a friend of mine, who's a doctor in his 3rd year of residency, and talked to him about this. His comments were ironic, he mentioned that perhaps it wasn't an "anxiety attack" based on actual anxiety; instead, it was an anxiety attack based on withdraw syndrome for lack of adrenaline or stimulants in the blood stream - seeing how I felt great after working out hardcore, how I felt great at night time, and had no problems during the weekend.

    His recommendation was, take a cup of coffee early in the morning and see what that does for me. Keep in mind, I was having these attacks on a daily basis, sometimes twice a day and the pills were no longer keeping it in check well. So yesterday I did... had a cup of coffee in the morning. Boy, I felt like I had just taken 200mg of clen... I was jumping up and down, my feet couldn't stop tapping, I was jittery as hell - seeing I had been completely caffeine and stimulant free for 6 weeks now - but I had absolutely no anxiety feeling whatsoever. I felt like a God damn million bucks. Motivated, ready to go and everything.

    So, I'm supposed to keep going with 2 cups a coffee a day and keep track of my "episodes" and see how they relate to me having coffee, but so to sum it up, it truly seems as I am indeed a "stim junkie", to the full extent of the meaning. My body became addicted to stimulants... And quitting stone cold brought severe issues... So I now need to tapper it off, start taking some beta receptors cleaners and see how I feel.

    Never really thought that there could really be an "addiction" to caffeine and stimulants... I thought it would only cause headaches and so on and so forth, but it seems not, just like cocaine or any other drug. But yeah, just wanted to share since I had started this thread and had so many helpful advice and support from everyone.

    So yep, I'm bla55 and I'm a adrenaholic.

    Yep, I'm taking low doses of caffeine throughout the day and am gonna lower them as time progresses.

    Right now I'm at 8 low doses of caffeine and am gonna taper it off until I get to 0.

    Ironic eh.
