    Sugar Free Energy Drinks?

So i gave'm up for awhile.. but im back in classes.
pretty much addicted to these bishes again.

mostly drinking MONSTER Absolutely Zero.. it claims to have zero calories, only 2 carbs.
i just have a feeling this ****s terrible for me.. i'm on a clean bulk diet (for the most part, stress has caused a few cheats this week)
is this crap going to get me fat or what??

If it has 2 carbs it can't be zero cals.Anything less then 5cals the food board can classify as "zero cal"

While it is zero calories, its not providing you with any nutrients either. I used to be in your boat, then i worked out that preworkout suppliments were cheaper to take than energy drinks and provided me with a bigger kick.

Then i switched to drinking ON Amino Energy. It has caffine still but provides your body with essential amino acids. I think it also tastes better (grape, yum,) than any energy drink. I find while it doesnt have a lot of caffine but provides a satisfactory kick... but im not pumping myself full of caffine either. Win win.

ALL energy drinks are a waste of money.

buy caffeine pills from walmart. 90ct for about $3. they are called 'jet alert' or 'stay awake'.

each pill has 200mg of caffeine ( the amount usually in 1 energy drink ). take 1-2 pills and you're set.

its absolutely insane how much money people waste on 5 hour energy or rockstar or monster. the tiny amounts of vitamins or taurine, etc cost almost nothing and don't really contribute to alertness.

edit : to answer you're question though, the energy drinks with 8 cals ( 2 carbs) wont make you fat. sugar alcohol SUCKS though, so watch out for that.
For me, the action IS the juice.

Im always worried about this too, i love energy drinks specifically the Monster Absolutely Zero you mentioned but like you said i feel like whats in it just plain isn't good for you. Im sure its about as good for you as any other zero calorie drink the flavoring systems used in them are kinda sketchy but it won't kill you or atleast it hasn't killed me yet. I'll keep drinking them till i find a study that says i shouldn't lol

yeah its partly the caffeine kick i like, obviously..but also sippin one of these kinda helps me stay focused.. idunno. its sort of a crutch. between that cigarettes and dry roasted peanuts or almonds. gotta have it.

but yeah you're right.. breaking the bank feeding this habit..

dude alcohol got me fat as ****.. i quit a year ago due to an allergic reaction that causes me to break out in handcuffs.. i dropped about 40lbs of fat since!! pretty amazing.

You're totally fine -- the only thing it's gonna impact is your wallet.

Gas stations around here usually have good 2 for $3 deals on the sugar free versions of Rockstar and Amp which is sweet and sometimes they have the big 32 oz cans for < $2.00.

Did you ever drink Rip-It when it was around? So good and only $0.99 for a 16 oz! Delicious.

Just drink some coffee. You can opt to make it as strong as you would like. Cheaper and just as effective.
