Is this ok to eat as a meal? About 6oz of it? I think it's something like 5g fat and oz and 7 gram protein? So 6oz would be 30 gram fat and 42 gram protein... I wouldn't have any carbs with this... Maybe 2 celery sticks or something like that...
sure, I buy 70% sometimes, cause its so damn cheap
I only buy 90%. Ever weigh 70% before and after you cook it? A lot of it goes down the drain. 90% is always around 2.80lb at sam's club. plus I'm the type of guy that eat to much fat
When I am stuck buying lower % i drain and rinse it.
Yeah, but I get 70% at $1-1.25/lb so I don't really care
I use whatever is on sale. Usually 80% here but when the 93/7 is cheap, I'll buy a bunch and stick it in the freezer.
My aunt and uncle own a highland cattle farm
Non related question, why do you most people say to stay away from red meats when cutting? I mean if you factor in the protein/fat/cals into your daily macros/intake, what difference does it make?
Most of the fat will cook off (got to drain it)
I usally just get 90-95% more expensive but you get more meat in the long run.
Red meat= best gain= most money
Chicken=gains=gets boring to eat
What I do is save up alil money and go all out on a sale when ground beef goes on sale...
Just drain it if you're worried about fat. Great stuff so versatile.
Buy yourself a grinder and you can make your own mix. Its cheaper overall, I love to mix different lean meats.
