Clear Edge as a caffeine replacement?

Hi, I'm a newbie here.

I ordered 6 bottles of Clear Edge last weekend, and should receive them tommorrow or the next day, a great deal at 3.95 per.

The ingredience all look helpful for the alertness without simulant effect, but have any of you taken Propionyl-L-Carnitine by itself?

I plan to use the Clear Edge to cut back on caffeine. I will try it with a couple grams or so a day of piracetam, extra bacopa, rhodiola, and perhaps some idebenone, but I'll try adding these one at a time and to see the results. I shall test it with 5-6 tab doses at first, may go up to 8 tabs later if I need more, or down to 4 tabs if the other stuff potentiates it enough. I will test it without any caffeine and with a diet pop (any extra caffeine beyond a 12 oz pop would defeat my purpose).

Also, to Nutraplanet -- I'm very interested in that new endurance formula you people are working on with the more powerful cordyceps and etc.

Caffeine most definitely potentiates the effects of Clear Edge greatly. Propionyl-L-Carnitine causes an increase in general body energy (it is used as a treatment for Chronic Fatigue).

When I came across PLCAR several years ago, I was so excited that I could not wait to release it to the Bodybuilding world. Now that I have more control over product development and release, you will see quite a bit more of it. Any feedback you can provide is much appreciated.

As for the endurance supplement, the formula is complete. I am just awaiting the Cordy delivery.

This is a really good idea. I'm going to order some CE (have been meaning to for a month - Sam hasn't had everything in stock that I wanted).

I REALLY need to get off all stims for a while - have been abusing StimX and Venom a bit too much since 1/1/07.

If the stuff worked! Very pure quality in my opinion. I'm up to 6 capsules 2x a day (bottles going very fast) to feel any effect. I'm not fond of stimulants so i've used ALCAR, Taurine, or tyrosine to get me going throughout the day. This looked like a good alternative and very good price. I just feel bad for the ones that paid the full price for this stuff cause it's not very potent at all. I'm going to give syntrax celebro a try after this.

You do know that there is no "stim" feeling per se from this stuff?? More like you just got 9 hours of the best sleep you ever felt in the softest bed with no noise or horny girl next to you....just rest....
Just wondering cause all the other supps you listed I have tried before and they all cranked me up and spun me out...totally different than CE.

well... I seem to have a high tolerance to things. Drugs or supplements. I wasn't looking for a stim affect. Caffeine makes me nervous and I wasn't looking for that. I was looking for mental energy and focus. I notice slightly better focus but not so much mental clarity.

None of the ones I listed are stims. You must be rather sensitive. Thats a good thing when it comes to supplementing cause you notice the effects. It may do some good for you. IF it doesn't .. hey it was cheap!

It might be worth while trying a few of the ingredients in CE by themselves. PLCAR works great on its own. Glucuronolactone is great for energy and focus. vinpocetine is great for increasing overall blood flow to the body and mind.

I got the product about an hour before I went to workout.

I took 6 tabs and drank 24 oz of diet pepsi.

Didn't do much for the workout, BUT... I felt very sharp afterwards. I felt concentrated. Played some chess, and played very well. I like it so far.

I'll try more tommorrow, may add some deep breathing andmeditation.

Actually yes Clear Edge is a great replacement for caffiene. Im doing an expirement on my body right now, doing 125 mgs a day of caffiene,I also take three grams of alcar daily then I plan to go to clear edge.

I plan to stop the alcar and caffiene and just see how clear edge works. I havnt took caffiene in a while.Im testing caffiene , a mild dose,to see what if it is true id caffiene is or isnt good for musclebuilding, cortisol release , and creatine loading. I will excess after a month. Honestly I like the No Caffiene feeling better so far since Ive started Caffiene in the past couple days.

dsade you are right about Propionyl-L-Carnitine for chronic fatigue. I have lupus a auto immune disease, when I take clear edge MAN my energy levels are out of this world. The only side effect I have from Clear Edge is I talk really fast when I take to high of a dose lol.

This was one of the most intriguing aspects of PLCAR that brought it to myt attention back in '04. BTW...do a pubmed search on PLCAR and Testosterone. Good Stuff this is.

I met with the supplier on Saturday (yeah yeah...I work too much) and I finalized the formula for them. Now I am awaiting PRICE!!!

Seriously lagging this afternoon so I took 6 caps of clear edge.
3 grams of ALCAR
2 grams of Taurine
1 Gram of Tyrosine

Wow... I feel amazing right now. It took about 2 hours to really kick in but once it did I have been in a great mood, sharp, motivating and ready to take on whatever. Really helps during the last 2 days of the work week.
