    Nutraplanet CLA caps..(question for Dsade)


    I've been purchasing NP's CLA dosing at about 6 to 8 grams a day, and have just re-ordered a big batch.

    On the M&M forums there's a good discussion about you having good results with the CLA, I'm curious as to two things:

    1.) Is this CLA with the 10 and 12 isomers they rave about?

    and also

    2.) What is/was your dosing schedule like to get the maximum benefits from it?

    ok, I lied, one more question:

    3.) is stacking with Fish Oil (NP's bulk brand) a good idea? I've been doing 2 caps Omega 3, 2 caps CLA 3 times a day and sometimes pre-bed.

    I know.. MAX CLA has the 11-12 isomers.

    Unsure about Bulk NP.

    MAX CLA Isnt too much more, few bucks more and 20 less caps!

    This question was adressed in NP's subforum by myself a few months back, but alas that has disappeared.

    From the CoA,you can see that our Cis9-Trans11 is 40%, and Trans10Trans12 is 40%. This is a 50:50 mix of the isomers that have been found beneficial.

    As for stacking, fish oil is very beneficial on it's own. It depends on your diet, but I typically have 1g CLA, 1/4 tsp Sesamin Oil, and some Fish Oils with my fat and protein meals. Optimal dose is 3-4g /day, split evenly.

    I take both products.....

    NP CLA Supreme at 3 in the AM and 3 in the PM

    NP Fish Oils I use at 2 in AM, 2 mid day, and 2 PM....

    Gotta love the fat burning and health benefits of these staple supps

    Agreed! I didn't realize how much Sesamin/CLA/ Green Tea was doing for me until I ran out and did a Tanita Body scan, although eating that entire cheesecake in 2 days wasn't the best idea either

    Sorry I missed this.

    I ran out of CLA a while back and keep forgetting to order. One thing I have definitely noticed is it is more difficult to stay super lean when deviating from diet.

    Tie in supporting my previously reported synergy between CLA and DCP

    However, as Fish oil reduces delta-6 desaturase, you would want to dose your fish oil away from the CLA.

    Is this in general or only in conjunction with DCP

    judging by the study, d6-desaturase is necessary to yield the activity from CLA. The TTA in DCP increases the activity of this enzyme, while fish oil decreases.

    Keeping them at least 2-3 hours apart would be ideal. FOR me I think I will be dosing my fish oil right before bed or perhaps alternating days.

    Currently I dose fish oil with my main meals so I think I will just do my CLA 3 between breakfast and lunch and 3 before bed.

    that's as good a place to sart as any....can you post feedback so we can zero in on ideal regimen?

    This makes a lot of sense as to why CLA returns mixed results....without a ppar-a agonistto increase enzyme activity you would be limited by natural levels.
