    Looking for Opinions, Tips and Suggestions


    Alright, so I'm 19, 5'6" and currently weigh 146. Body fat test said 6.4% which I think is wrong, I think closer to 11-12.

    I'm liking how cut/defined I've gotten but, I've lost some strength (started at ~160 52 days ago), and I feel like I've gotten too small for my frame. Just want to hear some opinions on whether to keep cutting or bulk up to about 175.

    You think 3250 calories a day is too much? I thought about doing 40% protein, 35% carbs and 25% fats. I'm honestly just scared/afraid/worried about getting fat.

    What is your caloric intake now? Up it just slightly. Your good and lean. Keep it. You can grow and stay lean. No need to eat what someone my size would at almost 100lbs heavier.

    Well, I'm at 1700 calories a day right now. Mainly because I wasn't losing any at 1800. I'm on a prescription medication that messes with my metabolism and brain chemicals (aka anti-depressants), so I gain fat easy. I want to stay lean, but I'm tired of being as small as I am, I'm already a short guy at 5'6", lol.
    I'm just trying to bring sexy back.

    You weren't losing at 1800, start there. See how it goes for 4 weeks.

    ....would make sense, lol. I had a 3400 cal cheat day today though, pancakes and waffles are just too much to resist. I'll bump it to 1800 and see how it goes. Though there's a lot of mental stuff for me, I used to weigh 235 3 years ago and I'm scared of getting fat again. Sounds ridiculous, I know.

    Nah bro. Doesn't sound ridiculous at all. I've pushed 300 before. My avatar is like 215. It's a lot of work. I hate my self for putting a little extra beef on. I tried to up my calories too much and boom.

    I suggest if your still not losing to work your way back up to maintenance adding 200 calories every 4 days maintain for about 4 weeks then take away about 200 calories preferably coming from carbs at the end of every week you've stopped losing weight take away another 200 calories and keep doing that until you're down to 1800 once you've stopped losing at 1800 repeat this process... As long as your losing with the 200 calories taken away don't take another 200 away until you've stopped you wanna do it slow that's the problem most people have they jump right into to consuming 1800 calories and its great at first but then you stop losing

    Alright, made up my mind. I'm going to do a lean bulk/recomp for the next 8 months, or until I get to 185. I have a log started and will keep it updated pretty regularly.
