Is there such a thing as muscle memory ?when not trained for some time

That makes absolutely no sense. Like muscles staying grown when not being trained ?
Clear up your english please.
For someone that is 135lbs, has 24 posts and uses the term "Clear up your english please" you're being kind of a douche.
Op,
Exactly what do you mean by muscle memory? That term typically refers to the bodies ability to do tasks much quicker and without conscous thought after enough practice (i.e. drawing a a firearm from a holster and putting it on target).
not reallly with the denotation you are applying to it, if you trained before and think boy i must have good muscle memory.. in all actually you probably lost less strength than you thought.

To an extent yes. Over time becoming detrained you will recruit fewer motor units and thus seem to lose strength. After training you will recruit more motor units. You also retain additional mitochondria you gained through your training, even though you are in the process of detraining. In essence it will take less time to reach a certain strength level than it originally took you to get thereOriginally Posted by benmayro
