i think for sure BCAA's pre, intra, and post workout would def. benefit an MMA fighter and the fast paced, high rep and volume of training... help with overall recovery, recovery between sets, sparring/grappling sessions, and aid in improving endurance. AX's AXcell orange is my pick., but there are plenty of brands out there...hit NP up, one may even be on sale..

Well I change my supps up, trying new ones here and there but my main staples are...
Glucosamine chondroitin sulfate msm
Purple Wraath- at 2-4 scoops a day
Pre-workout- either N2KTS, Jack3d or Whiteflood
My current stack I will be starting in a week for a cut down to 170lbs
Erase- 2 caps a day
OEP- 2 caps a day
Alpha T-2- 2 caps a day
Blue Growth- 5 caps pre-bed, 5 days on, 2 days off
FinaFlex- 5 caps a day
Super Cissus- 3 caps a day
Purple Wraath- 3 scoops a day
AAKG- 4g's a day
Taurine- 4g's a day
P-slin- 1 cap pre-weights
GCS- 3 caps per day
Omega 3'6'9- 3 caps per day
Co-Q10- 1 cap per day

and i found the best way to cut weight is to just better technique, that way you wont need extra size to help give you an egde to win...thats how the bjj worlds and others are..you gotta weigh that weight right before you compete or you move up to the next divison...i mean how can anyone consider themselves a competitor at a weightclass they they only weigh for 10-20 mins and really 20-30lbs more the rest of the time.
but i guess the bigger bully gets more milk money.

Looks like I'm not far off from what most people take. Only thing I added is super cissus because I feel like the stuff really helps out a lot ! Even if it numbs the pain helps me to keep going and push harder.

yeah i am a bjj fan and a competitor as well ..been doing it for ten years now. and teach bjj at two different schools that have ammy and pro mma fighters that i teach as well. Its not that i dont have the mentality of a fighter as im sure you do (which is defined as????) i just thing more of myself to the respect that i feel that i dont have to cut weight to be more effective or to give myself abetter chance..its just i tell all my guys that if they are counting on just being bigger to win then maybe they need to spend somemore time on the mat and more time ring as well. but i do agree that mma fighters do need many tools...but the problem is they will let anybody fight now adays and there is no real standard to measure who can fight and who cannot, ammy and pro....i mena states like florida, indiana and montana you can just sign up and fight pro with no training and get hammered..but guess what...now your a pro fighter. that is one reason that wrestlers and wiegh cutters dominate becuase they atleast train somewhat.ill give you that...but how many wreslters dominate that actually finish fights, try to finish fights, and do not use wrestling to just survive and not get beat other than sonnen, kos. And actually they are going agianst drastic weight cutters in some states now by not allowing them to weight more than 12-13lbs over the weight that they weighed in at the day before the fight. plus with the whole cutting alot of weigh to get an avantage....how does one know if they really are 100% after cutting 20lbs or so to make weight when they have been feeling like 35-55% the days prior trying to cut weight, because after weight is made, 80-90% will feel like 100 because you were at 55, so even 70 will make you feel great.

As it comes to teaching I would never tell you how to teach you obviously know a lot more about the Arts but I would never give your philosophy to a fighter at the level of strikeforce or UFC. In the much earlier stages I think you have a much more valid fight. They have much more on their plate to worry about. A lot of fights with inexperienced fighters end with exploiding a huge flaw and sometimes could be conditioning from weight cutting as well as many others.
I don't really want to go into fighter mentality because of how everyones opinion is different but I will give you one example. That Tall ass ex football player black guy on TUF10 marcus Jones or whatever(big baby) and then the guy last season named Jaegar.
Sorry to reference TUF but it just shows why those guys didn't make it on their own.

When someone is first starting out with weight cutting, I always tell them to do a test tun. When I was training to fight at 155, which seems so odd to me now, I did a test cut when I was about 165 and then felt great after replenishing and then tried 168. That extra 3 lbs was a bit too much, but I also did not replenish as well.
Also, most people don't have a clue how to properly cut weight. The process should take about a week and you should also have your replenishment carefully mapped out. My last cut, by far my easiest, was 10 lbs in about an hour with my pre-cut done the night before. I was without fluid for ~12 hours, easily made weight, and then weighed about 187 come fight time and felt amazing. The reason for the difference was that I salt/water loaded properly and made sure to replenish well, too (I put back on 10 lbs in about an hour).

your right alot of people dont know how to cut weight..and big white i do agree with someaspect of being a ufc/strikeforce fighter...but how many guys have we seen break onto the scene and move up ranks becuase they were ready go at the drop of a hat to replace someone and really show up for it...and then how many have seen that almost did it but because they were too much over weight and couldnt get it off the right way and end up looking worse than they are...and as far a the tuf fighters like jager and bib baby, it goes to prove my of my biggest pet peves in mma in that they will let anybody fight and that there is no real legit standard of measure ability and skill for one to turn pro...as it cleary showed in the last amatuer tuf show....how do you have a 10-0 or 90% winning pro record but display no real evident skill or even one clear strong style when you fight...but then again there is also no amatuer shows in florida so you are actually considered pro your first fight. and several other states are like that as well.
