    Kreaceps™ write-up

Target Response KreAlkalyn & Cordyceps Matrix

KREACEPS™ combines the 100% stable and absorbable, pH correct™ creatine, Kre-Alkalyn« with Cordyne3™, a solid state fermented, full spectrum, super potency cordyceps blend with Rhodiola Rosea, R-Alpha Lipoic Acid and Vanadyl Sulfate to create the most potent, safe, effective, non hormonal, ATP promoting, strength and endurance enhancing supplement to date.

Kre-Alkalyn« is a patented and pH correct™ creatine product with 100% stability and absorption. Creatine monohydrate has been proven through more than a decade of research to enhance strength, endurance, and subsequent athletic performance*. The disadvantages of other forms of creatine are their extremely short term stability, rapid conversion into the toxic bi-product creatinine when exposed to liquid and subsequent poor absorption into the bloodstream. Conventional creatine monohydrate has been shown convert to toxic creatinine byproduct by 100% in as little as 43 seconds, WOW! Kre-Alkalyn« cannot convert to the toxic by-product creatinine which is responsible for all of creatine’s documented side effects, including nausea, stomach cramps, diarrhea and bloating (subcutaneous water retention). Kre-Alkalyn┬« provides all of the strength, endurance and performance enhancing benefits of creatine without the unwanted and risky side effects; In fact Kre-Alkalyn« is absorbed so efficiently into the bloodstream that 1 gram of Kre-Alkalyn« is equivalent to ingesting 10 grams of conventional creatine powder.

Cordyne3™ is a pure, solid state fermented, full spectrum, super potent blend of CS-4 Cordyceps Sinensis, Cordyceps Sinensis Alohaensis Hybrid and IH-6 Cordyceps Hybrid and is exlusive to Millennium Sport Technologies. Cordyne3™ contains the identical active constituent profile of wild cordyceps but at a much higher potency. You are probably thinking “I’ve tried cordyceps before and it really wasn’t anything to write home about”. Well you haven’t tried the Cordyne3™ blend. The potency of the Cordyne3™ cordyceps blend comes from the proprietary combination of cordyceps strains and the way these strains are cultured.

Almost all cordyceps strains are cultured in a process called liquid cultivation or fermentation. This process uses a liquid substrate to grow the cordyceps mycelium in a very speedy 5-7 days, yielding low levels of active constituents. The cordyceps mycelium is then harvested by filtering out the liquid medium, drying it and grinding it into a powder. By filtering out the liquid medium many of the quality compounds secreted by the cordyceps are lost. It is usually further processed using hot water or solvents resulting in the loss of nearly 90% of the active constituents of which it had few of to begin with due to the fast liquid culturing process.

Cordyne3™ is grown using a solid state (solid substrate) or biomass method. This is a much slower culturing method where the cordyceps is grown on a sterilized solid medium such as grain. The codyceps is allowed to consume the solid substrate while being subjected to temperature and gas changes (O2 and CO2) to simulate its native high altitude conditions. This process typically takes between three to six months before the cordyceps is ready for harvest. When the cordyceps mycelium is ready to harvest it has consumed more than 95% of the solid medium in which it was cultured on. This means it yields 95% cordyceps material with extremely high concentrations of active constituents from every facet of its life cycle. This process allows Cordyne3™ to exceed the potency of wild cordyceps by up to five times (5X).

For Thousands of years Traditional Chinese Medicine has used cordyceps to support healthy kidney, lung (respiration) and heart function, low male and female libido, fatigue, immune disorders, for general health and appetite and for promoting longevity. Tibetan Sherpas use cordyceps and rhodiola to enhance energy production and oxygen utilization when climbing Mt. Everest. In 1993 the Chinese Women’s National Track Team used cordyceps to set 9 world records and 3 by staggering margins. In this country its use has been researched for it’s enhancement of energy production with applications in athletic performance and fatigue. Cordyceps has been clinically proven to enhance ATP production, increase oxygen utilization, improve VO2 Max, increase SOD (Super Oxide Dismutase) activity, support immune function, support healthy kidney function and improve glucose metabolism.

    General Nutritional Components of Cordyceps

Cordyceps contains a wide range of compounds considered nutritional. It contains all of the essential amino acids, vitamins B1, B2, B12, E, and K, a wide range of sugars including mono-, di- and oligiosaccharides and many different polysaccharides (some of amazing and unique complexity), proteins, sterols, nucleosides, and a wide range of trace elements (K, Na, Ca, Mg, Fe, Cu, Mn, Zn, Pi, Se, Al, Si, Ni, Sr, Ti, Cr, Ga, V, and Zr.).

    Major Bioactive Constituents of Cordyceps

Cordycepin [3'-deoxyadenosine] and cordycepic acid [d-mannitol] were the initial bioactive compounds first isolated from the Cordyceps militaris species (Cunningham et al., 1951). A study by Chen and Chu (1996), announced the characterization of cordycepin [3’ deoxyadenosine] and 2'-deoxyadenosine, using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and infrared spectroscopy (IR) in an extract of Cordyceps sinensis. Other components found included various saccharides, and polysaccharides of varied and amazing complexities (including cyclofurans - cyclic rings of five-carbon sugars of unknown function), beta-glucans, beta-mannans, cross-linked beta-mannan polymers, and complex polysaccharides consisting of both 5 and 6 carbon sugars joined together in branching chains comprising both alpha- and beta- bonds. Many nucleosides have been found in cordyceps, including uridine, several distinct structures of deoxyuridines, adenosine, 2’,3’dideoxyadenosine (which is marketed worldwide as a primary antiretroviral drug for the treatment of HIV infections under the names Didanosine™, Videx™ and others) hydroxyethyladenosine, cordycepin [3’deoxyadenosine], cordycepin triphosphate, guanidine, deoxyguanidine, and a variety of other very unique altered and deoxygenated nucleosides that are found no where else in nature.

Rhodiola Rosea is categorized as an adaptogen due to its ability to increase resistance to stressors, rhodiola is used traditionally in Eastern Europe and in Asia to stimulate the nervous system, enhance performance (ATP Production), reduce fatigue, improve sleep, reduce depression and prevent altitude sickness (through enhanced oxygen utilization). It is suggested that the plant is useful in treating asthenic (having a slender, weak, lightly muscled physique) conditions subsequent to intense physical or intellectual strain, influenza or other viral illness. It is believed to have cardiopulmonary protective effects as well.

Rhodiola's stimulating and adaptogenic effects are attributed to p-tyrosol, one of several antioxidants, along with organic acids and flavonoids, and to compounds such as salidroside (syn: rhodioloside and rhodosin), rhodioniside, rhodiolin, rosin, rosavin, rosarin, and rosiridin. Rhodiola is believed to influence levels of biogenic monoamines such as serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine in the cerebral cortex, brain stem, and hypothalamus. It has been reported to prevent both catecholamine release and subsequent cyclic AMP elevation in the myocardium (heart) and the stress-induced depletion of adrenal catecholamines. Rhodiola's adaptogenic activity may also rely on induction of opioid peptide biosynthesis and activation of central and peripheral opioid receptors. These are all reasons why rhodiola makes a welcome addition to Kreaceps™.

R-Alpha Lipoic Acid is not only one of the very best and most universal antioxidants but it also is the perfect dietary supplement for improving insulin response/sensitivity and blood sugar control. Research studies have shown that the cheaper synthetic RS form of alpha-lipoic acid does not deliver the full beneficial effects of the R form. Millennium Sport Technologies uses only R-isomer alpha lipoic acid in Kreaceps™. R-ALA provides control for the destructive effects of glycation so you can obtain the anabolic and ergogenic effects of improved insulin response/sensitivity. R-ALA works with Cordyne3™ and Vanadyl Sulfate to drive the KreAlaklyn« into the muscle cell at an accelerated rate, providing amazing performance and muscle pumps.

Vanadyl Sulfate is believed to play a role in helping to regulate the body's healthy blood sugar levels, similar to insulin. Studies show that vanadyl sulfate mainly helps the muscle cells uptake glucose (instead of fat cells (adipocytes) uptaking glucose). Specifically by mimicking the actions of insulin, vanadyl sulfate forces more proteins, aminos and carbohydrates directly into muscles creating a more anabolic state with phenomenal vascularity and pumps.

    Kreaceps FAQ’s

Q: Why combine Kre-Alkalyn with Cordyceps?

A: The addition of the Cordyne3 blend of cordyceps will not only enhance ATP regeneration but the high glyconutrient content in the cordyceps will help drive and deliver the Kre-Alkalyn and other ingredients and act as a second delivery system (glyconutrient delivery).

Q: What difference should I expect to see between regular KreAlkalyn and Kreaceps from a performance standpoint?

A: With the addition of the Cordyne3 cordyceps blend you will notice that your aerobic and anaerobic recovery time between sets is much faster and more pronounced. Cordyne3 increases oxygen utilization and ATP regeneration so your endurance will be much improved over a regular Kre-Alkalyn product. The addition of Rhodiola provides energy and focus and the R-ALA and Vanadyl Sulfate help with delivery.

    Q: Is Kreaceps safe?

A: Yes, Kreaceps is very safe. As a matter of fact Kreaceps may be one of the safest creatine products on the market. With the high pH of KreAlkalyn keeping it from converting to toxic creatinine you will not experience any side effects traditionally felt other forms of creatine such as bloating, cramping or nausea. In addition cordyceps has been shown to have extremely low toxicity levels even in amounts over 100 grams per day. Cordyceps is a tremendous kidney tonic which can help to aid the kidneys in the rare case where creatinine conversion was an issue.

Q: Does Kreaceps have any negative side effects?

A: What would seem to be a negative side effect is actually a positive one. Cordyceps is very antifungal and antimicrobial. If a person using cordyceps has an overgrowth of candida in their body the cordyceps in Kreaceps will begin to kill it off causing candida die off symptoms. These symptoms are usually expressed as a mild case of loose stool or diarrhea. This is a welcome but rare effect as it’s a sign of an underlying but easily manageable bodily condition. We suggest you discontinue use of Kreaceps and undergo a candida cleanse before resuming.

Q: What is the best way to take Kreaceps?

A: We recommend that you take Kreaceps as recommended on the bottle. However you may take 3 capsules preworkout and 3 capsules post workout.

The beauty of this product is that it can be run a little longer than a conventional creatine product. I would use it for 8-16 weeks and then evaluate whether or not you are seeing the effects wane at all. If the effects have faded slightly then take a small 2-4 week break before resuming.

Just a heads up to Kreaceps-XS users. The next batch of Kreaceps-XS will be in white capsules instead of the purple. This is due to All American Pharmaceutical not allowing anyone to use purple caps for a Kre-A product but themselves. Silly contracts! LOL

This has actually prompted us into making the product the way it was originally slated back three years ago. For some it will replace Kreaceps-XS for others it will replace all other creatine products.

Stay tuned for the final word on creatine!

Empty stomach is best but not completely necessary. If you need to you can take it with pre-workout carbs. Protein won't hurt its effects but will slow down assimilation so if you are taking it with a pre-workout protein shake then give it an extra 10-15 minutes.
